Usually, if someone breaks up with me, it's for a pretty legitimate reason, so I don't have one bad enough for this thread. I guess I'm just lucky.

I've never had a bad break-up; they've all been mutual. I've been lucky (though it's also because I've never dated a psycho batsh!t crazy chick, either).
I wouldn't recommend it. It's like putting yourself through slow mental torture, but what can i say I'm still with her so I guess I like the mental pain lol

She discovered that she was a lesbian. That was an awkward conversation.

It wasn't all that bad, though, seeing as we were still friends afterwards.

I had a girlfriend who broke up with me over msn, then began telling me what I was supposed to learn from my failed relationship. At the time I didn't think too much of it but before long I realised how freaking disrespectful and condescending it is. When I tried the same to her, she got defensive and angry at me. Funny that.

Tried being friends, ended up fighting too often, she became a slut who got drunk and slept around with random guys every weekend so I deleted all means of communication with her.

All the dating threads seems relevant to put one up.
What is the strangest/rudest/coldest reason broke up with you?

"Because daddy doesn't like you and I'm all hes got"
*Puts ring box back into pocket*

Go
Fucked if I know. When I have a break up, I immediately drink a lot, and keep going for....mmm...a month or so? :p

As a result, I don't remember much about my various break ups...
Wish i could do that, My memory refuses to leave no matter how much you drown it
Dude, I'm going to pass on to you my secret. That secret is TEQUILA!!!

Granted, not a very original secret, but it does have magical properties. It is a drink that should only be drunk when trying to forget. Not only will it wipe your memory, but it will replace those memories with better ones, and you won't know the difference. It sounds like sci-fi, I know, but it has actually happened to me.

Came home from work and everything was gone.

MY furniture, clothes, bed, stereo, tv, pots, pans, food, family gifts & photos,
stuff I've had since childhood - EVERYTHING.

Went to the Bank and our joint account was closed by her after
withdrawing the $2,500 balance.

She ran off with one of her college instructor's.
All I had were the clothes on my back and no clue whatsoever.

Even her family didn't know what was going on or where she ran off to.

18 months later I found out that she left pregnant and
vanished on inheritance of $40,000 from a trust cash out
because she turned just turned 21.

She lost the baby from partying on the money and was broke in 4 months.

And you think you'd know someone after living together for 2 years.

My heart wasn't as broke as my head was blown away.

EDIT: Seeing as how one of my exes is a crazy ***** that actively stalks and harasses me (wonder how the guy she left me for would feel about that?), I'm going to blank out this post because she doesn't need to know just how well I actually took the breakup... lest she decide to step up the psychotic behavior.

Hmm, well. I fought to defend her honor, fought to defend her from a rapist, and devoted my life to her (plus more!!!). Then she cheated on me with multiple guys AFTER we got married in front of her weeping parents. I hate that woman.

Yeah. Professional Movers. Wondered why there was a sofa pillow
on the step before I unlocked that fateful door.

Never got anything back. Start completely over. Wore the same clothes for a month.

Yeah, that thought crossed my mind before but the fact that she was screaming "you're not my husband", "get off me", etc while violently trying to fight him off countered that logic. I would've done worse than I did to him but I was focusing on getting her out of there, you know, it doesn't do any good if I lose the fight and he can continue his assault. BTW, he was about 6'6" excon and I'm only 5'8" former soldier.

Must have smelled terrible by the end of that9Hope you got a chance to wash them) and did she at-least leave you some underwear and socks

Ah, makes more sense(or she saw you coming needed to think quick)but makes sense.
And this is just for my sake, you do have the wisdom to carry a weapon of some sort correct?

Well my worst breakup actually happened about a week ago. The girl I had been with for about two and a half years called me,about 4 months ago she had to move to Florida thus the calling, and told me she had been cheating on me for a month with a 15 yo emo boy named Damian. You see in December it would have been our 3 year anniversary and I was going to propose to her. Well she calls me trying to get me to and i quote "wait till she was ready to go on with our relationship". Well I told her to choose between myself or Damian and she gave me this answer that she loved both of us and just could not choose. So in a polite way I told her to fuck off and be happy with the little boy. Oh and a note I am 19 she is 18 so what she did is really illegal.
