My french teacher in the 9th grade was named Ranald Macdonald, and no, i'm not shitting you, he had relatives from scotland on his fathers side, therefore the last name, and his first name might have been a joke by his parents or just a coincidence, not quite sure, but it always felt weird calling for him when i needed help...

Best name ever though have just got to be Mike Litoris

On the contrary, I've heard awesome names from my former hometown.

Will Wynn (http://www.ci.austin.tx.us/council/wynn_bio.htm), our mayor
and
Mike Litt (http://www.ilovemikelitt.com/), our resident weirdo.

Well, there's a student I know. First name Sunny, family name... Banger.

Really, it all points to some incognito porn star to me.

One guy had run out of names for his kids, so he named his sixth child Winner and his seventh child Loser. Winner has committed over 3 dozen felonies, while "Lou" is a successful police officer. Go figure.

Kalasnjikovka (from AK(-47)). This is true
Not exactly. The AK-47 was invented by this man. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikhail_Kalashnikov]

Kalashnikov not Kalasnjikovka.

As for terrible names, there's some celebrity who named their kid Apple. Yeah, that would have to be the worst.

My friend's sister had a boyfriend guy who's name (some sort of Celtic, I think) translated into "Brown Warrior Brown."

My two closest friends both picked horrible names for their children. One simply made up a name, and then promptly spelled it wrong. His son's name is Taqran, though they pronounce it "Tack-Rin". The other, thinking himself clever named his son Have, pronounced with a long "A". His theory being that when other children in school are told to "behave" his son will be the standard for proper behaviour and etiquette.
While I love both friends dearly I look forward watching their children grow to loathe them for giving them names that will insure daily beatings and teasings for many years to come.
