the only gun i ever did not like was M16 in CoD4 but that's no big deal
why does no one like that gun?
what is it really that hard to nail someoen with three measly bullets?
or all of you to used to useing bullet hoses and just spray till everything is dead

haha, you do bring a valid point....
i do not use it because i just don't like it, its to easy to kill with but i might think that because i don't care about my K/D but w/e you are entitled to your opinion
i thank you for that, i respect your opinion as well, even thou i disagree on the "unfairness" of the m16 mid range assault rifle

it is less drastic, but still is off target by a massive amount. I suppose i really have no place to argue an opinion, and quite an educated one at that. Still, should one be called a noob for using it? ridiculed and hated? so the bastard has an AWP, he earned it did he not?

y'know, brain has a point, he earned it
live with it little kids

It depends on the map and how bad the players involved are.

I'd say shock-rifle tertiary fire is "unfair" because it takes very little technical skill to use it well, but I can understand why it's still in the game and whatnot.

I'd also say that on very tight maps, grenades can be very powerful (see: battlefield series), which can seem quite unfair if you spawn and instantly die.

Most weapons have some weakness, or something they're bad at which another weapon is better at...Simply exploit that. Many strategies have counter-strategies, including camping, using the SUPER IMBA GUN, and 'nade spamming.

All weapons are fair, people only hate on 1 shot 1 kill weapons because they don't understand the game.

I know this might not have much to do with this very topic but it is quite similar in a way. This is a reference to Warcraft 3 where every hero is considered the noob hero or a more popular term used in FPS' and RTS' alike over powered. Why do they say it? because the person if fucking amazing with it. Example that involves an FPS, i play BattleField 2 and when ever i have my second rank support gun in my hands every one goes down. I even been called some one who over uses an over powered gun. Not that i mind but this isn't only for FPS's this applies to any game where your selection varies from player to player.

If the person isn't glitching or laghacking or anything like that anything they do to kill/defeat you is legitimate.

There is a way to overcome any tactic.

the noob combo in the halo series.

i know it's a legit strategy, but by using it those players only prove their lack of worth

The Farsight from Perfect Dark 64 - come on a gun that can fire through any surface with a one hit kill and also auto-lock on. The epitome of unfairness! And I love it =D

i hate the guys on CoD WaW who use the snipers without scopes. A sniper is a SNIPER and are supposed to be far away in a corner shooting at everything that moves. when u combine 1 hit kill waist up and a bayonet or rifle grenade, it becomes pretty bullshit cause they have to be close to hit u with the iron sights but they can get lucky and kill you from a mile away just because it is a sniper rifle. i dont think its a noob gun as i am now considered a good shot with it and now just use them to counter snipe

the brain. Whoever uses it has a very clear advantage over other players
Zing!

I was going to say any weapon that leaves enough of the enemy to suffer, but that's because I'm on a Conanesque tear at the moment. (crushing one's enemies and all that)
