You have a different opinion than I do of what makes good entertainment. What's wrong with you?

I thought of another one, Trigun - Mildly entertaining, has a lot of character clichés played to a T. But the kicker was when it took him 26 or so shows to figure out he didn't have to kill his brother, he just needed to cripple him. Severely. And the show ends with him carrying him into the desert, no repentance, no character development or conclusion. Hell, all the characters were chocked so full of conflicting ideologies and tropes they all seemed to be a little schizophrenic.
"Vash, me and you will bring peace to the west... with our guns... Now DIE!" - Dramatization or Wolfgang.
To predict any critique: Yes, I understand the show and all of it's elements. I'm just poking fun at it's lacklustre narrative and tired morals.

So that is it my greatest disappointment was High-School of the Dead. Great potential gone like the sand of time.
Oh god yes. I was nothing but disappointed by that. And the fact that they thought they were worthy of using the 28 Days Later theme was just a slap in the face.

But my answer...

The Supernatural anime. The fact that I have to own it to keep my collection complete is the only reason I do. I don't so much think its bad, but it just isn't anywhere close to being on par with the real show.

AND WHY THE HELL DIDN'T JENSEN ACKLES VOICE DEAN THE WHOLE DAMN SHOW?! Seriously, Jared Padalecki voiced Sam. Couldn't Jensen suck it up and do it?

- Bad endings
- Harems (I REALLY HATE THEM, way to screw up a romance, jerk)
- Dubbing (will not listen to the Clannad dub...never!)
- Diffrences between the visual novel and the anime (for example Fate/Stay Night and Clannad)
- Haruhi's endless eight episodes...WHY!

ok im kinda weird i think that there are too many animes that end depressingly(same with manga)i mean i just watched elfin lied and fate stay night both could have ended better and hell fate stay night could of had a HAPPY ending but it didnt. dont get me wrong i love anime that have you know a meaningful reason why half the cast dies as well as a main character but i mean wtf for every one that gives a good ending (whether through meaningful sacrifice or a happy ending) there one were they basically say fuck all to every thing and just end it with no real closure. I want fucking closure DAMIT!
As I said, get the visual novel, the diffrences are BIG! (But it is 18+, but worth it! And ya get a real ending if you finish all the paths...thats a long time)

English Dubbing
There are a few good dubs, yes?

What about, Kekkishi, Bleach, and Code Geass? Were they that bad? Some of them are good.

The last few episodes of Evangelion. I know there are movies that fixed it, but I've lost all interest in the series.

And the last episode of Berserk just ending leaving room for a second season that never came. The movies they are making hopefully will make up for the long wait.
Evangelion is my number 2 pick for great disappointments. I agree, the last episodes just made no logical since.

How every bloody thing is Eroticily (Eroticaly?) designed. Large Breasts, short skirts, tight shirts, and so forth.

If there was no more Eroticaly (??) designed things in anime, i would love it.

Naturaly, the fact that gaming is getting the idea that "everything must be erotic" it is often a deciding factor to whether i will play a game or not.

Dude I know how you feel

That was mine thought on hotd for the first part and then it just got lost in fanservice.

Still enjoyed it for teh lulz though.

I saw the OVA though (well half of it anyway), I had to stop because I just can not stand pointless nudity. If there is a reason for it fine I will call it art, but when they do that to my physics I rolled my eyes and gave up for good on the series.

I admit, it was a little funny and good when they stopped the fanservice and got back to the story but I still feel betrayed. Mostly because of this thread I started http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.232178-Poll-Highschool-of-the-Dead-H-O-T-D .

It was months ago but I still feel badly for going all 'fanboy' show I had not finished yet and gave me warning signs that it would be full of fanservice at some point. I feel betrayed and even after almost a year after watching the last episode, I still feel more then a bit of resentment over the studios failing. Well I will end this rant of mine, Thank you for taking the time to read it.

While I don't watch anime that much, the one thing I really hated was everything that came after The Frieza Saga in Dragon Ball. There was nothing of any real substance anymore, and the show just got so repetitive.

Case Closed being shut down, I mean, WHY!? It is the only anime that comes to mind to where it has a objective, but more or less is not continuitly strung as much as story and story. Unique premise, awesome dialogue, GREAT voice acting and a very unique story each episode.

-Yosuga no Sora. Beautiful OST (for the anime anyway) but the story for 3 of the 4 arcs were very much lackluster, if not laughable. Sora Arc was pretty okay though. If anything, the story for Sora's arc should've just taken the entire show, because everything else was just a joke.

-Infinite Stratos. Charlotte's Arc had a great story behind it, and if they'd based an entire show around that (with many edits as to how it happened, of course) then it could've been better.

-Seitokai no Ichizon. Started out as a hilarious comedy, but in Studio Deen fashion, the comedy died out after ep 6.

-Umineko. Studio Deen. Guess how well they adapted this one.

Hey Beserk, don't screw over the fanboys by leaving the anime on a down note! and why did you screw over the most badass entrance of all time!? Well at least I have the Blooper dubs:

Seriously, every time he forgot a Line, he sung.

...I was also disappointed by the animation of the Naruto vs Pein arc. Seriously, fan animation was better then that. At least it was made up with the Sasuke Vs Danzo fight.

Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo ANIME ending.

I may be insulted for watching the anime but I don't care. It was a stupid cliffhanger ending.

They're not even that far in the freaking Manga.

And you can't find the manga online.

Too little well placed humor. It's either shoehorned in, or just completely lacking. And the reverse is also true. Don't bring the Cerberus Syndrome on. If people like something because it's funny, let it be funny. Not everything needs drama.

/serious

Also, there is a great lack of ponies. This must be corrected.

Death note.
L dying wasn't the deal breaker. That was shocking, but I kind of liked that. Completely unexpected. No, what put me off is they had no fucking clue what to do after. The two fill in detectives both sucked, and Light's defeat was disappointing, as he lost by sheer luck. Mikami was the one who made a mistake, not Light explicitly. I would have bought if Light fell by his own Hubris after defeating L, getting too cocky and not expecting this L wannabe to actually be smart at all. That would have had Near being a little dweeb make sense. But no, it was just Mikami acting outside of L's orders, and ruining it for both of them. It kinda shows Light couldn't control everything, but it wasn't satisfying at all, nowhere near as much as if Light had made an oversight himself say, or if Near had actually shown some really genius in figuring out his plans, instead of getting a lucky break. So they wanted to bring Light down, have him break down as a child as he couldn't accept losing. That could have worked, but they just handled the whole thing really poorly. The entire last episode just sucked, in every respect.

/rant.

The conclusion of Death Note came to mind immediately. Without giving anything away... No, God dammit! NO!
Really? What was wrong with the ending? I loved the ending! D: Theatrical a bit... but... not bad.

My disappointment is just 4Kids Entertainment in general...

If it had to be a specific anime, though... I suppose DNAngel comes to mind (mainly because I just re-watched it). The voice acting just... oh good god... Then there's Ouran High School Host Club, cutting that one short...

I'm sure I have more that I just can't think of at the moment...

Edit: OH YEAH! And the Yu Yu Hakusho ending!!! I know the producers didn't have much of a choice but COME ON!!! /REALLY/!?

Needlessly dragging on, as One Piece is doing now to avoid doing filler arcs unique to the anime.

You do realise the creator of Highschool of the Dead is a notorious hentai artist, right?
