What movie or show scarred you as a kid?

Courage the Cowardly Dog. I mean, holy shit, that show was absolutely terrifying. The mattress episode, and the one with the mummy ("Retuuuuuurn the slaaaaaaab...")? Scared the crap out of me.

I think the mummy episode scared everyone man, myself included. There's not a person I've talked to that wasn't freaked out by it. D:

So, I'm not a real person? I love Courage, and watch all the episode. I never were scared of it.

Show: Tales from the Crypt (Parents had HBO)

Saw the episode "Only Skin Deep" (Youtube it) when 5. I had to sleep with a nightlight for a month. Episode still creeps me out now. Also, "May the Punishment fit the Crime"'s ending creeped me out.

The ending scene of Who Framed Roger Rabbit used to scare me shitless, when the old guys eyes got all red and he began melting...ugh.

You mean judge Doom? Come on! How can you be scared of him, he was practically funny.

Also, it may mark me as a pussy, but the huge white dog thing in the Neverending Story. GOD DAMMIT.
I couldn't watch that movie as a child, that thing seriously messed with my mind.

I had a high threshold because my brother love to make me watch horror flick just to scare me shitless. I was 9 at the time. He also made me record a porno, and surprisingly, that's the movie that screw me over. (Pun intended.)

Primarily, the opening scene with the creepy doll. And the quietness and darkness and all that. Loved the show though.

Now I love that movie. But when I was 6-7, it was terrifying

Wild Thornberries, the way they were drawn and how thin Debbie was scared the shit out of me (same with the sister in Rocket Power), I used to have nightmares about them. There was a black and white movie about a monster on a train it was black and white it scared me as well. My cousin played Resident Evil 3: Nemesis when I was really young I used to think zombies would really come and get me, I had escape plans under my bed and nightmares about it for AGES. Now horror is my favourite genre and I love R/E!

The Rescuers, All Dogs Go To Heaven, Fivel Goes to America, alll strangely dark, gothy movies with lots of death and like demons, i blame it for turning me into a goth. and scarring me as a child.

Those were all the movies I loved as a child, especially ADGTH!

ET. That movie scared the crap out of me. That friggin alien thing was horrible. Especially when she's feeding it m&m's and it's hand is creeping out of the doorway. Urgh! I still cant watch that movie.

I have 1 movie that scared the bajebus out of me as a kid and that was Arachnaphobia. *shivers* i checked everywhere for spiders after watching that movie....and it only furthered my fear of spiders >.o

Another movie that didn't scar me but sort of shocked me as a kid was Watershipdown. Something about those rabbits tearing each others throats out bothered me as a kid....although I loved Little Nemo, the nightmare before Xmas, Tale from the Crypt and other equally weird things. Maybe it was the fact that rabbits, who are supposed to be cute and fluffy were killing each other violently.

American Warewolf In London. My parents fell asleep and I creeped downstairs to watch it from around the corner of our living room when I was about 8. Couldn't sleep for a month.

Jeff Waynes musical version of The War of the Worlds. My dad bought it for me when I was five and left me alone in the house with it on. Scared the living crap out of me so much I couldn't listen to it again until I was 13. Every time I acted up my parents threatend to put it on unless I behaved. Even now sometimes at the age of 35 it creeps me out when I listen to it.

Fixed. They kinda made that a big deal. But yeah, that movie still scares the shit outta me, especially the part where it's hiding in the kid's closet with all the dolls, and all you see is its head staring into space... Just fucking scares me, okay?

I wasn't so much a kid anymore, but it was the first time I ever had any mental scarring as the result of a movie.

Sweet almighty Tang-Jesus , that movie (and the series too) is FULL of scarring material.
Hell you don't need to be a kid to be traumatized by it...just remember THAT scene...you know , the one that takes place in a hospital room.
