Glasses... No wait that's physical isn't it?

Intelligence then, oh and her being a gamer would be nice

Well, what attracted me to my girlfriend was her affinity for animals, and her scent.

Hmmm, obvious answers aside:

Emotional intelligence - I'm generally a difficult person to read, to the extent that none of my family can accurately tell what I'm feeling without asking. If a woman is able to read my emotions based purely on what few facial expressions I have, I'll be attracted to her. Pity, so few of them around.

Smell/scent - weird, perhaps 'physical' but still. I hate it when women (hell, anyone) has a strong smell about them (regardless of whether it smells pleasant or not). When it takes me more than a few seconds to register a woman's smell (i.e. more than one breath), I'm intrigued.

Intelligence, preferably coupled with dry humor and a sharp tongue.

I quite like exchanging playful insults with people. It's how I roll.

It's a trait that isn't too popular, really... Calling someone "intellectually stillborn" is apparently "not very nice".

Intelligence, quirkyness and shyness.

A bit more specific, the ability to converse on a lot of different subject, I'm a bit of a polymath and I'd prefer someone like that.

Having at least some degree of intelligence Seriously, there's nothing more annoying than having to explain basic knowledge to a girl with one eighth of a brain.

Having the same sense of humour as me. This one is difficult to come by as my sense of humour is similar to that of Spike Milligan and the Goon Show. The problem is I'm 17, most of my friends are 17 or younger, and have never heard of either Spike or the Goons :(.

Being musical in some way. If they can play an instrument and/or know a bit about music theory.

An absolute requirement for me is honesty, loyalty and responsibility. I'm rather morally strict, I don't expect it of anyone else but not having my partner be the same would just end in trouble.

Intelligence and assertiveness are also very nice.

A girl who is smart, not, as i have found some people to call 'ditzy' (stupid, 'oh, ditzy doo!), a girl with a sense of humour (they will need it to live with me), someone who is realatively kind and with a good personality, and is tolerant of other people.

Yeah, that seems fair enough, because you could shorten it down to 'a good person'.

Intelligence and their voice
In a girl i would want to have some form of an intelligent talk to them about anything really. And it's really awkward talking to a girl about electronics who doesn't understand what electrical resistance.
Also their voice is quite a huge impact as well, Nothing makes me annoyed at people then someone having a disgusting voice, i would like something thats calming and something not like this

If a girl never talks in metaphors and has no concept of Art she is merely a drone.
That is one of the most pretentious things I have ever read.

I want a lady I can easily chat to, not some metaphor spewing Rivendell elf.

Hidden mental psychosis. It seems every girl I like, or get in a relationship with ends up having deep seated problems. Either they were abused, are drug addicts, bipolar, nymphomaniacs, or a combination therein.

These things don't turn me on (far from it), and it's not something I look for in a partner, but I just end up with people like that. My best, female, friend (who's a former addict and abuse victim) says it's because I'm too caring, but I think it's just that nobody else wants to go out with me.
Trust me you're not alone for being stuck in situations like that.

Be nice to him, he's just trying to convince himself that it's okay for him to date a weirdo

Thoughtfulness, a streak of... bleh, cbf finishing.

[sub]edit: that wasn't me saying I generally find guys not finishing things really attractive...[/sub]

A tolerable, amusing personality, for one thing. A working brain for another. Both of these tie in together; even if the woman in question doesn't necessarily like the things I do, I'd like her to be at least able to articulate her viewpoints eloquently, and the ability to talk about a wide variety of subjects is something I would prize, as I myself am inclined to attempt to understand a wide variety of subjects. It's a source of amusement for some people, but that's all part of my personality.

Unfortunately, not many of these women exist, and those that do are typically either not interested in me or not in a situation to engage in romance with me.

eh i've dated girls of all intelligence, of all shapes and sizes, but generally the one thing that actually makes girls really to like them is when they are VERY:

upfront and open- if you've got something on your mind involving me, then say it please, whether it's something like "Your zitz are huge today" or "Wanna go fuck in the bathroom?" any and all are welcome.

can churn out jokes as fast/faster than i can and can actually take a fucking joke - this is generally one i have a problem finding, most women i meet are either complete twats when it comes to understanding what a joke is and how to make one yourself, but this is a huge turn on, me and some of my ex's used to sit and argue all the damn time for hours going back and forth with jokes and very aggressive arguements, and it usually ended in some damn hot angry sexual things =]

If she actually has these two qualities, then most of the other qualities probably fall in line and i'm probably in love with her.

A guy with a cute and funny personality, and can actually cry and not be afraid to do it. Halo Legends is a great example. I know guys who cried during that and they are true men to me.

Also a guy who will care for me and love me or who I am.

For personality: quirky, cute and intresting to talk to, have simialr intrests as myself, and must have some intelligence. (i dont mean she has to be a brainbox but smart enough to understand the long technical words i have a tendency to use in a conversation)Not looking for much am I? :p
