Oh, I don't know, we Americans only INVENTED FREEDOM.

BEDBATHANDBEYOND! Fuck yeah, fuck yeah...
freedom?? *cough slavery cough*
*ACHOO*abrahamlincoln*ACHOO* *sniff*

Africa sold slaves to other countries, and all the other countries were all "well, if you're selling them..." and we sorta went with the flow, but then we were all "HEY! Wait a minute, These guys should be FREE n' shit!" so Abraham Lincoln had an epic battle with Stephen Douglas, the evil mastermind of slavery, and when he used his hat cannon to blow Douglas to smithereens, all the slaves' chains immediately broke off and everyone celebrated, except that douchebag racist John Wilkes Booth.

...and THAT'S how we freed all the slaves in the world, exactly as it's written in my history book.

but if you truly believed in freedom u would never have bought slaves and who did you free slaves from oh wait i know OTHER AMERICANS
AMERICAAAAA, FUCK YEAH!

Australia um...let me think...I'll say, dropbears?
Oh come on... You can do better than that.

Australia invented the lawnmower,

And uh... (hmm... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Australian_inventions)

Apparently,
the refrigerator,
the electric drill,
powered flight (Just before the Wright Brothers did so - tangentially, one of the first gliders was in New Zealand),
the notepad (the paper kind. Still. weird... )

The tank - That's debatable, because of Leonardo Davinci. (but so are a lot of things), but the british Mark 1 tank from 1916 is based on a design made by an Australian.

The pacemaker.

More besides.

Anyway, all this really shows is that you can find quite long lists of things if you look for it.

Loe and Behold!

Looking at it, many of these have been pretty fundamental in further research.
Awesome!

We invented Coca-Cola where I come from (Georgia).
Yeah, I went to the Coca-Cola Museum thing.

Beverly tastes like a moist anus.

And this one African drink that Coca-Cola produces... I think Simba or something, also tastes like ass.

OT:

North Carolina made Pepsi.

I win.

Aside from a couple of minor things, like the telephone (Scottish, guys) and Pasteurisation (French- the guy was called Louis Pasteur, come on), I only have one gripe.
America? You did not invent freedom. I think you'll find it's older than is possible to believe, but to give you an example (that is not the first, merely from before America was even recognised as a country) I'll go with something pretty famous.

(Hate that movie, but it makes a point.)
