Pokemon Red Missingno. But since thats less of a cheat and more of a glitch It'd have to be Quake: God mode and no-clipping.

I don't think I've used cheats in that many games, walkthroughs yeh, but not cheats.

I think I first cheated on Vampires the Masquerade, but I don't remember why.
Apart from that ummm, Fallout 3, Fallout NV, and umm... I don't think I've cheated on that many other games...

Though I do remember learning hexidecimals to cheat for some reason... it was all so long ago!

The first person to guess where that one is from earns praise.
I remember seeing this in Nintendo Power. Is it Turok 64?
Ding ding ding! Ladies and gents we have a WINNER! Yes indeed, "nthgthdgdcrtdtrk" is the Big Cheat for Turok 64, offering such classic cheating options such as all weapons, unlimited ammo and lives, infinite health, disco mode, big head mode, full map, and the ability to warp to any level in the game at will, including all of the boss battles. I LOVED that game.

*awards +1 praise*
Thank you! =D

The Sacred Armor of Antiriad (Spectrum ZX48). An ancient platformer, where a mulleted native hero saves his tribe from alien invasion.

The cheat was published in the Your Sinclair magazine. It gave you infinite hitpoints. To make it work, you had to write a little Spectrum Basic program that loads the game data, flips a few bytes with POKE commands, then executes the game.

I wanted to complete the game to see the ending without spending weeks trying and failing. It was a bit of a downer because all you got was some short scrolling text explaining that you have now saved the world.

I believe it was age of empires one. I got it from a nutri-grain packet and a friend showed me how to get cars that fire missiles and move really fast. I enjoyed that quite a lot....

Hmmm...I think the first game was GTA 2. It was a code that gave you all weapons.I was like 8 at the time and GTA games meant screwing around.

Though i can't remember it the code.

Erm either Golden Eye or Civ3

The good ol'game shark for the former, and the magic ability to spawn warships in the enemy capital for the other.

It was GTA 3. I never used any cheat codes before that, because my mum said "Using cheats ruin the game, and if you use them, then I won't get you any more." when I was like 6.

GTA 3 almost seemed made for you to use the cheats though.

All weapons, water cars, infinite health and ammo & $1000000 = a lot of mindless fun. Especially with the RPG.

From trainers, to aim bots, to god-mode, what game did you first decide to get an 'extra' advantage with?

I think for me it was Civ2. Struggling way back in the day to actually beat those 'oh so good' AI's (Hey, I was young!), there was always that final release, where you turned cheat mode on, and plunked down a huge stack of tanks next to the enemy capital.

How about you?
back when i was about 7-8 and didnt actually know how to play civ 2 i used to cheat aswell, i used to turn cheat mode on, then use the cheats i wanted like dropping a bunch of tanks, and then i'd use the cheat that lets you save the game as a scenario, and then i'd start playing and save over from that scenario, so my score at the end wouldnt say 'CHEAT'
