I think that the important part of that statement is "prepared to 'live' with the consequences"



Frankly, I think the most effective survival tactic for a robot apocalypse is going to be, well stocked fallout shelters, with cleverly designed entrances.

I'm thinking something like two doors , both of which lead to pits of magma and a riddle to tell them which door is ostensibly the right one; then a sort of drawbridge to allow you out. Oh, and with really well reinforced walls.
Weapons? welding torches and RPGs.
