If it has to exist, then a scoped rifle that can fire single, burst, or fully automatic, and has an on-off laser sight. Can't remember the name of it though. Ooh, and bastard sword and shield, just in case I lose the shield and want to go two handed on those MFs.
If it doesn't have to exist, then a Mech suit with machine guns, swords, missiles and crap.

A pair of ryu hayabusa's ninja claws because you never have to put them down, even when you need your hands for something else, plus they look awesome. For slightly longer range i would have a handgun, beretta or glock would do (with extended mags and dot sight of course) also have you noticed that in a lot of these movies like zombieland none of these so called zombie survival experts have thought of wearing body armour, it's quite an obvious thing to me that if an alligator can't bite through kevlar or chainmail then a zombie would break it's teeth off if it even tried. and of course everyone makes a mistake at least once.

EDIT: if i can have something that doesn't exist i would go for a land raider crusader of the WH40k mythos, impenetrable armour and a crapload of rapid firing boltguns, two assault cannons (high calibur miniguns) and a multi-melta with AC/DC on the stereo. FUN

But zombies no FEEL fire either. so in the 30 sec. to a minute (depends how fat they are) between catching fire and their brain overheating and bursting like an overripe passionfruit there is still chance of them getting to chow down. also flamethrowers are quite heavy so running away is difficult

Yes, I know this is a repeted thread, but now that Zombieland came out not so long ago, I think it's time to open a new one(the last one was in March I think...)

and, to all you guys that will shout: "Shotgun!" without thinking. For the first, if feel sorry for your total lack of imagination and creativity(seriously, you could at least said 12 gauge pump-shotgun with lazer and add a picture or something). Second, you'll be the first to die when the number for increases to more than 8. Try realoding loose shells into your shotgun while you're running from zombies or holding off a zombie trying to eat your brain.

Sooo.... you're in a big gunshop(let's just say that every gun available is in there), and zombie apocalypse has started.
What will you choose?

wouldnt a morningstar have the same down side as the lightsaber

Give me an M2 .50-cal, AP rounds and a lot of them. Those bullets will tear apart several zombies each, so with enough bullets I'll kill the whole fucking swarm that's nearby.

Oh I do love comments like the above, when someone asks a completely hypothetical question and then someone will sit there and try and rationalise why someone else's response to it wouldn't work.

but since we clearly isn't just taking real weapons in to account... I chose the turn/rebuke undead ability of a epic level 20 cleric and a full sett of magical equipment that boost times per day and the the turning check.
That tops everything against zombies!
