Mostly I'd be rather laid back, but I'd instantly ban blatant trolls (i.e people who post goatse or that troll-man guy) and be rather harsh on people who are generally jerks, even if their individual posts aren't quite probation/suspension/ban-worthy.

Stop all those stupid threads people start about themselves for spending more time here and commenting on everything, unlike most people. Besides that, not much. I'm a mod on another site and I don't really do anything.

Well, I would lock this thread due to it's slight implications....
I would lock all threads to do with: MW2, Zombies, Best game quotes, Best quotes, etc.

Another good idea:
Develop a *Mod's Choice* type tag that they could assign to threads with particularly interesting ideas/discussions going on to reward them for delving a little deeper than "What games did you get this Christmas?"
It would be a way to counter the fact that the threads with hundreds of responses are the ones that require no thought, or opinion, or even reading what people have said before you, to answer.
