Well, I was talking 30 year old mullet-era Snake. While 30 is still out of my age bracket, 50 would be a little wierd. That, and he's a lot sexier without the moustache.
On the topic in general, I've read an unhealthy amount of MGS Slash in my time, and it seems quite a lot of the fandom tends to go with bisexual. It's extremely obvious that he likes women in the games, but there are plenty of references in there to suggest that at least bi-curious.
EDIT: @Yan-Yan: Slash: In this case it would involve a Snake/Otacon pairing.

Define 'slash' for me, at least vaguely, because I seemed to have missed that slang usage while growing up. Maybe just a hint, because I can kind of guess what it is if push comes to shove. How about a game of 'Edit Hang-Man' with it?

Well. It determines how 'available' he is for certain people. Before I ask him out (in that wonderful hypothetical land) I'd like to know if he fancied the gents or not. Sure it really doesn't matter, but neither do most video games. It's just a fun diversion of time for me.Red Rum said:

Besides, J.K. Rowling, the author of the book, was just upset about the discontinuation of her main franchise when she said that Dumbledore is gay.
As for Snake, obviously the Konami guys who released that 'Meat Gear Stupid' video showing Big Boss kissing an old dude were just being funny.
The point is: It dosen't matter if he's gay or not.
