When I see MW3, and Halo 4 and such, I see a milked game, with very little depth left to it. CoD has been on the release of at least 1 game every year pretty much. And Halo is leading the same style, more keep coming, when they should've ended long ago.
MW3 online, I see as a remake of every other online CoD game we've ever experienced since the original MW. This includes WaW and BO, and honestly, I haven't found a reason to enjoy any of these games online (Excluding the occasional Zombies matches), so it brings me to believe that MW3 will be the exact same.
Halo 4, isn't supposed to exist. I can't help but express my displeasure that they are still continuing when 3 was supposed to end it all. Reach and ODST for me were also very bad games online though, and it just brings me to believe that Halo 4's multi-player will not be worth playing after beating the campaign.
Gears of War 3 is getting a beating, because people saw what happened to Gears 2 (6 Title Updates and still millions of problems), and believe that the same will happen. That is how I felt, before playing the beta. Most people stopped hating on the game after playing the beta, and started to see it's full potential. Another reason Gears 3 might be hated on, is because it has been considered a shotgun fest. Close Quarters, no real variation in weapon choice. But I also saw that gone with the introduction of the Retro, Sawed-Off, and improvements on other guns, like Iron Sights on the Hammerburst.
Overall, people hate because they expect games to follow their predecessors closely, and usually they are right. I'm trying to believe that with these releases, they might be changing things up a bit, and actually building something new and wonderful.
