Pull out the pocket knife that I always carry with me. If that doesn't make him back off, I do what I have to do.

I always carry a knife. And I know how to use it. It's never my first choice, but if conflict is inevitable as this seems... Hopefully me drawing my knife would scare him off, as it has in the past. But if not, I'll do what I have to in order to stay in one piece.
You would draw a knife on somebody in a fist fight?.. And you would do this in a public place?

Seems weak :/ But at least you aren't afraid of showing it :p
I'm very physically weak, I have no problems admitting it. I did earn my black belt, but that was years ago. I don't trust myself to be able to hold myself hand-to-hand. I would rather end it quickly and with as little damage to myself as possible.

Edit: Damn, meant to quote someone then. Moment has gone. IRL, I'd let them strike first, overreact to throw them off guard, then throw an elbow/knee.

Try to talk them out of it. If that fails sweep kick. If that fails then wait for them to make the first move and use some of this Aikido training that I've been working up.

My Alpha Strike has 2 LRM 10s, 2 Gauss Rifles, and 4 ER Medium Lasers. I occasionally switch that up to 4 streak SRM 6s, 2 ER PPCs and a ER Small Laser.

And risk murdering your opponent? The human body isn't a pincushion made to withstand stabbing.

Unleash a torrent of dragonfire.
...What idiot goes and picks a fight with a dragon, anyway?

(Also: when I hear "alpha" I think EVE online, in which case: 8x1400mm Artillery Cannons loaded with fusion ammunition.)

I've pulled my knife in a fight before, it works as a very good deterrent. But if the guy keeps wanting to fight, then yea.

Roundhouse kick to the ribs, soon as he's within range. Not as risky as a roundhouse to the face. Wouldn't want to end up with a blocked roundhouse kick and on the receiving end of a punch to the crotch, which happened once to a dude who was matched up with me in a competition (it was an accident - I got so tense and excited when I blocked his kick that I wasn't even looking where I was punching).

Run.

I'm a small guy. I have no martial training. I would most likely lose a fight.

However I do run track and cross country, so I will win in a race!

Let him get in close, uppercut to underside of his chin followed by a round elbow strike to the face. If that doesn't get him down, leg behind his and swing my entire bodyweight into his torso.

Tadaaa, sprawled on the floor, feeling like a prat.

Wonder who this person is since I don't hate anyone in the least.

Then allow them to punch me in the face, I suppose. Don't want to hurt anyone. Maybe ask them not to curse so much, I don't know. Look, I'm bad at this.

Or I could go for a slightly more excessive alpha strike, I suppose. As shown here:

About thirty seconds in. You'll know when you see it.
That Alpha Strike was the first thing that came to mind when I read the thread title.

OT:Run, that is all. I already have no shame and no dignity, there is nothing I need to preserve by fighting someone.
Oh good, so it's not just me. Nice to see one of my favourite games ever getting recognised.

Mind you, that game had some rather ridiculous non-alpha strike weapons too. Banana gun.
