I like Shaman King cause I'm a fan of Mythology, and I like One Peice as well, its funny, ligght humored but serious when it needs to be, oh and sometimes I can't tell if Luffy is really that dumb or he is just pretending sometimes LOLFolio said:I hardly watch anime anymore. I like the smell of bleached paper. The art of Shaman King is not something most people find appealing. It was the first Manga I bought. But when I stopped watching One Piece and start READING One Piece. I can't get enough! It's the way the characters are creative with their abbilities. I can't say that from Fairy Tail or Shaman King.
An anime that would never be tiring to watch is Dragon Ball. (Not Z or GT.) The awesome intro AND ending. The quirky moments with incredible action and thrilling story lines.
Yay, I did something useful this time, unlike Tea from Yugioh...seriously the only thing she is good for is Friendship speeches LOLahlycks said:don't worry, just don't do it again. anyway, i have to thank you for keeping this alive, i was actually looking for some more anime to watch...Tenkage said:*Snip*

A little trivia: one of the biggest influence for Eiichiro Oda (the one piece author) is Akira Toriyama (the dragon ball author). That why you can see lots of similarity in style between one piece and dragon ball.Folio said:I hardly watch anime anymore. I like the smell of bleached paper. Thats true alright, man Eiichiro is such an awesome writer, funny yet with enough action to keep is serioustwasdfzxcv said:A little trivia: one of the biggest influence for Eiichiro Oda (the one piece author) is Akira Toriyama (the dragon ball author). Respectable titles they areTifataf said:Don't have an absolute favourite, but my top three are Naruto(Shippuuden), Bleach and One Piece.
M 'yes, the eating habits of the main character is almost a staple of Shonen Manga.twasdfzxcv said:A little trivia: one of the biggest influence for Eiichiro Oda (the one piece author) is Akira Toriyama (the dragon ball author). Fairy tail's author, Hiro Mashima, did Rave Master before fairy tails, and it has the same art style and typical shounen story. The reason that his art style is really similar to that of Eiichiro is that he is also heavily influenced by Akira Toriyama.Folio said:M 'yes, the eating habits of the main character is almost a staple of Shonen Manga.
But can you answer me this? Why does Fairy Tail look almost identical to One Piece? I almost thought it WAS from Eiichiro! And not just the looks! A rash guy, a greedy woman, a cool guy, a woman with a mysterious past, a little pet who is usefull somehow, a world set in a time period where technology works in a strange but explainable way, and finally: The main character NEVER really loses but after a simple setback he rages in an epic battle.
I like to add Full Metal Alchemist to my list. I haven't read it in a long time because the comicbook store hadn't got any new ones. Yet the story is brilliant like a detective with magical powers and a robot arm!
I agree, plus the heroes despite being bad ass, they have real weaknesses, and not just "Oh you hurt my friends bla blah blah"Folio said:M 'yes, the eating habits of the main character is almost a staple of Shonen Manga.twasdfzxcv said:A little trivia: one of the biggest influence for Eiichiro Oda (the one piece author) is Akira Toriyama (the dragon ball author).
