Their dark beer is the only thing I will Occasionally choose over a woman to spend a night with.

Depends what I'm going for when I drink.

If I want a good tasting beer that's mild I'll go with a spotted cow, which is a local brew.

If I'm feeling adventerous I'll try something stronger, the last being Double basterd Ale which is some pretty strong stuff for my palette.

The only time I drink stuff like Budweiser, Miller, or Coors is when I'm with people with no taste in beer and they're buying

Oaked Arrogant Bastard
Now that you've mentioned that I have tried the Double bastard Ale and have heard good things about the oaked double bastard (essentially a stronger version of the arrongant bastard style).

Drop Top Amber Ale!!

So good, but if I'm feeling extra manly I'll order a pint of this Swedish or Danish or one of those Scandanavian countries Stout called Thor's Thunder. Gaaaachhhh, it's really good but it is by far the beeriest beer you will ever taste. They serve it warm and it almost has a bitter coffee taste to it. After you drink it you will taste nothing else for about an hour. My knuckles just got harier typing about it.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention when I really want to get hammered I usually get a 40 ounce or 4 pack of Steel Reserve, Kick axe or Camo Silver ice. Each has over 8% of alcohol and cost $2.00 or less for a 40 oz (a liter is roughly 33 ounces for you metric users).

Guinness. The worst days all slip away with a good Guinness.
True until you go to Ireland and realise they are keeping the 'real' Guinness to themselves, that stuff really is the best drink there is. The stuff they ship to the UK is the low grade and after I'd tasted the original and best I couldn't bring myself to drink the crap they sell over here.

Spirits > Beer anyway. Give me a whiskey or rum please xD
Agreed on the spirits. And you should taste the stuff they sell as "Guiness" in the U.S. Drank it for years before going to Ireland to visit family, and good god, I did not know what I was missing.

My homebrew.

My favorite was made with equal portions of honey and malt, and spiced with saffron.

I called it ancient ale. And at approx. 10% abv, it would knock you flat. Would, because this was the only homebrew I never shared.

I'm from New Zealand and I really like Victoria Bitter. For a local beer though I'd have to go with Double Brown or Tasman Bitter aka Double Poos And Tasman Shitter. Cheap beers are awsome.

Beer is for pussies. I prefer cider, strong and dry.
Good one.

It varies with the season. Fall/winter is something very dark or a stout from some local brewery none of you have ever heard of or care about. Spring/summer is probably something I can drink a whole lot of (PBR) or a pale ale from a different local brewery none of you have ever heard of or care about.

The Irish really do know their stuff when it comes to booze.
