Only albums that haven't been said already that would be among my absolute favorite debut albums are Ready to Die and Reasonable Doubt.

Dave did the majority of this album by himself... needless to say, it's amazing.

Considering who's in Them Crooked Vultures, this should come as no surprise.

Kid Cudi's Man on the Moon is awesome. He released a few songs before hand, but MotM is his first album. I think.

I LOVE Breaking Benjamin. They have albums I can just listen through all the way and nod my head too.

My favorite debut album has to be Panic! at the Disco's. I know they are for the sell outs and the Hot Topic kids but I like the lead singers voice and the style and 'Build God, Then We'll Talk' was damn good. It doesn't hurt that he left the Mormon church in order to pursue the music.

Among those that haven't been listed yet:

The Cars
Van Halen
Santigold
My Generation
Dreamboat Annie

All self-titled but the last 2, and you should know who they're from.

Demons and Wizards self-titled album.

My two favorite bands together? How could I not love it.

Hmm... I guess... Uh...
Pink Floyd - The Piper at the Gates of Dawn
I don't think it's better than most of their later stuff, but it's still very nice and different from the rest. It definitely shows Syd's talent.

Other good examples would be The Smiths - The Smiths, Gorillaz - Gorillaz and Coldplay - Parachutes.

Cutting Our Teeth by We Are The Ocean or...
Sigh No More by Mumford & Sons.

Those two albums...every song is just gold. XD

it must be Nas's Illmatic.

Other great debuts would be Jay-Z's Reasonable Doubt, Dre's The Chronic, and Fiddy's Get Rich Or Die Tryin'.

Great memories. I'm on my crappy phone, so no album covers this time unfortunately.

Mine will always be Voltaire's The devil's bris album. It was one of the first albums of his that I listened to as my dad has it on all the time. It's my favourite debut album because it has this song on it:

It also has this song on it:

To this day, Voltaire is my favourite singer :)

good choice although i'm not sure i would class that as a debue more of a best of (yes technically a debue but i had heard loads of his stuff b4 that album
None of the songs on SAW 85-92 were apart of any past releases, and the only releases that predate SAW are various EPs, such as Bradley's Beat, Digeridoo, Analogue Bubblebath Vol I and II and maybe Joyrex J4/5 EP and Pac-Man. Most of these tracks would be seen again on "Classics", the first Aphex Twin compilation release, but that wouldn't come out at the end of 1994, around eight months after SAW Vol. 2.

Since King Crimson has been named, I think I'm going to bring attention to Animal Collective's debut, which was made before they adopted the name:

It's not accessible, but I like it a hell of a lot.

2NE1's debut album To Anyone was a pretty damn good debut album, they'd done a few mini-albums before it (like every other k-pop group), but this was their first bona-fide album.
And DAYUM, was it good :D

Or the re-released cover if you recognise that instead

There are a couple of great albums I like, here are a few.

L.D. 50 by Mudvayne. Man this album is kick-ass. The band later lost all their edge and now are just trying to live off of Forget to Remember-type radio rock, but this album still feels downright gritty, dirty and absolutely brutal.

The Search Party Never Came by Vanna. Now, this isn't really their first album, but seeing as how their previous releases consist of a 200-copy self-release and a split, I'll go ahead and count this one in. There's just something about their music that really hits me deep into that old rotten metalcore heart. Their style isn't really all that "metal" if you just look at the band's appearance, they look more like a boy band or something. Their music is still pretty solid, though.

It's All Happening by Iwrestledabearonce. Again, not exactly their first, as they had an EP under their belt, but it is their first studio album. And what a weird album it is. Mixing all sorts of shit together like it's no problem.
