SPOILERS

At the end of MGS4 when Snake and Big Boss are at the graveyard. Insane to hear everything and then the old man bites the dust. A bitter sweet ending.

Totaly agree with SotC and CoD4

Fallout 3 seemed generally like a pretty sad game, especially wandering through peoples houses and seeing burnout skeletons/other worse things (Is it Arlington with the scary basements?). Thinking about the reality of the apocalypse thatway got really depressing sometimes. Then I'd just put on galaxy news radio :)

Also everything in Bioshock pretty much. Thinking about the downfall of rapture as a city that could have been so amazing, and thinking that every splicer I killed was someone who'd had a life that had beeen ruined. Sander Cohen also seemed like a pretty sad character, just trying to gain approval of an audience that had long since dissapeared.

Saddest part though was pretty much all the levels after you kill Ryan (WARNING SPOILER <---) Wandering through Olympus heights seeing the trashed homes and the Little Sister conditioning centre.

Then they ended it with a shitty boss fight. Very sad

Tifa's memories in the lifestream in FFVII.
The ending of Braid.
The twist of BioShock.
The end of any RPG.

Strange, when Lavitz died in LOD I just sat there and said, "well that was unexpected, I guess I know who to kill now."

Actually it embarrasses me to say that the one time I cried because of a game was when *SPOILERS* Elisa died is MGS: Portable Ops. I have my reasons though, 1. I liked her as a character, 2. the music fit the scene very nicely, 3. the things she says before she died were foreshadowing MGS4 and that made me very happy and excited.

Losing my Dog in Fable 2 was a low moment and then knowing at the very end that the option to return him was the second "selfish" option and you should pick the "moral right" so I lost him.

Metal Gear Solid 3's ending with The Boss was pretty brutal making you shoot her. On the second play through I left it to see if after a while it let you walk away...nope.

I think that the end of CoD4 will always get me, I was just starting to like Gaz, Captain Price and Griggs as characters and then they all die before your eyes, Gaz's death was easily the worst though.
i KNOW! such a kick in the balls, then teeth, so you taste bally foot, then the mile high club level gave me a case of the creeping what-the-fucks.

I got a list, most of which have probably already been mentioned:
SOTC: Aggro, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
HL2E2:(sorry, i don't know how to spoiler flag, so...just don't read this one if you dson't like spoilers)Alyx got shanked by a hunter....then the game happened......the, eli NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! that game just has it out for the vance family, eh? i mean, you don't even KNOW Alyx's mom, she died in black fucking mesa!(i think)
LOZ:ALTTP: when i was a kid, i always got all sad when the preist got owned by those hylian knights...
BONUS!
Counter-Life(half life mod with counter strike weapons):everything. especially buying controls

For a whole three seconds when I thought Shepard had died. Also a bit before if you sacrifice the one who you told to set the nuke a little cutscene will play showing them leaned against the bomb, fruitlessly trying to defend it as they watch you fly away.
What game?

When Bannon lets the tactical nuke to be called upon himself in World in Conflict, I was super sad and raped all those stupid Russians just for him.

I cried a lot in Fallout 3. Reading about the start of Little Lamplight and remembering the elementary school they came from made me sad.

Oh and Bigtown made me sad too. All those kids told how nice stuff was then were disappointed

I have to say that there are two moments that have made me cry.

The very end of Final Fantasy X still makes me cry. Though... the first time my sister and her friend were watching it and I started just crying (playing around) histarically and kinda ruined the moment for them. It was funny.

The very end of Fatal Frame 2 when Mio is running after Mayu after she turns into a Crimson Butterfly after she kills her is so really sad. Makes me cry every damn time. The music and just watching Mio chase Mayu is so sad.

Well, the world of Oblivion was really stressing me out. I decided to save up my gold coins, and take a little vacation. When the time came, I bought a horse, and traveled south to see if i could find a nice beach. What I didn't know at the time was that you can't travel everywhere on the map...I got the you can't go any farther message. I was pretty pissed/sad. I'd like to add that I was several years younger when this event occurred.

Death of Eli in Half Life 2: Episode Two.

You sort of guess its coming, but when it does its still shocking because its so brutal.
And fading to black with Alyx crying over her dad is just so painful to watch.
