The end of Super Paper Mario made me tear up [slightly ashamed to admit it]

When Tippi and Count Bleck are reunited and express their love for each other I swear I almost ball my eyes out everytime.. I'm just a sucker for stuff like that I guess :/

Also should this thread have a spoiler warning?
No, I don't think so. The game's been out for 10+ years, so almost everyone here knows what happens.

Mass Effect. If you've played it, you'll not which point this is. It just comes right out of the blue.
*snip*
LOL are you talking about the choice between saving an annoying racist religious bimbo or some guy 90% of people don't even use or even talk to throughout their game... i went with saving the generic spacefiller bloke, we actually became pretty close after that.

Baldur's Gate II, when I couldn't get Montaron & Xzar as playable teammates, & when Yoshimo turned on me, because he was my favorite.I was also pissed that my characher couldn't kill that annoying Aerie chick who never stops whining.

Then there was when I got the Storm of Zahir & Mysteries of Westgate expansions for Neverwinter Nights 2. The premium mods from NN1 let you do cool shit like walk underwater & become a zombie pirate. But for NN2, we get storyless add-ons that play like Heroes of Might & Magic.

There was my first NPC companion in Dungeon Siege 2 who died in a cutscene. I could have any of my latter companions revived, but he was dead for good & I really liked his design.

& every time I tried to load a saved game, only for the gamesave file to be corrupted, forcing me to start earleir back or worse; from the beginning.

Lost Odyssey disc 1 spoiler. When Kaim's daughter -
dies and everyone starts crying. It's just very sad because Kaim meets his grandchildren and they take him in the house as a stranger, but he meets his daughter after a really long time, only to lose her.

Me and my friend were stoked up about Gears 2 and we played it co-op together first time through. Most of the inane chatter was some variation on "hells yeah!" but two moments stood out:

Carmine falling out of the raven elicited loud screams of denial and outrage followed by a renewed desire to kick some serious arse.

Conversely the maria scene was watched in total silence and is so to this day.

The memorial scene in Halo 3 was a quite moving, I'd just played the whole series from start to finish over the period of 2 days so I was pretty into it by the time the final credits played.

Both Tomb Raider Legend and Mass Effect had a similar effect in that the emotional punch didnt hit until the music played and the credits rolled, not really sad but I had to get up and pace up and down the room because I can't sit still when I'm feeling worked up and immediately ready for a sequel. FEAR 2 might have been in the same boat if it hadn't been so ball-crunchingly frustrating.

i immersed myself completely in final fantasy 4 when i first played it. i felt sad almost whenever i was supposed to.

mist valley's destruction, castle damycan's destruction, the loss of the ship, the apparent death of rydia and the twins, the actual death of tellah, the apparent deaths of cid and yang. i think that's about it.
