Where does your sarcasm stem from?

As a proud bearer of the b-word title, mostly the sum experiences of suffering in my life and a frustration with the world at large.

The internet does have a tendency to bring out behavior people are less likely to show publically, which is funny seeing as how sarcasm translates so very poorly in text. Sarcasm is largely reliant on either knowing the person speaking/writing or their tone of voice and body language, neither of which is regularly available online.

Easy, if the world makes no sense, make fun of it.

If the world would make a little more sense, I didn't have to be this sarcastic. I blame you, everyone and the rest of the world.

[sub]I hate you guys :p)[/sub]

As if i would use scarcasm on the internet.

Just kidding, i really dont that often, mainly because i think its more tone of voice, than that written word that shows sarcasm.

No. I win.

Sarcasm shotgun. It's a misanthropy 500 with a cynicism grip and a tight sense of wit. Fires 12 gauge sigh-shot. The enhanced version comes with an eye rolling reducer.

I'm not assuming everyone here is sarcastic but alot of people on the internet happen to be, so I was wondering where you guys suppose your sarcasm comes from? Mine would be heavily from my dad, my best friend, and my best friend's dad, and then amplified by the internet. Of course some people will say it si an inherited trait and that's it, but I was heavily influenced and was wondering if anyone was
My sarcasm comes from your MOM and your OH-so-deep topic

In primary school, I was the bookish type who considered himself shy and retiring, but was actually very loud. Being bookish, I grasped the English language better than most, and I remember one or two occasions where I sat at a table where an argument was going on (primary school, so no debate so much as "try to out-insult the opposing team")

I supplied both teams with their insults after they ran out in the opening blows. It wasn't particularly witty, or original (in fact, I just said words like "nincompoop" and "stupid", but my involvement lay in the fact that none of them were quick enough to remember such words, and would fall on me to come up with 'a word' of some description)

From there, I learnt to love this language, and I use it to extreme extents in most situations, hence my love of debate and arguing in general. As sarcasm is the most 'wordy' way of insulting someone or bringing them off their soapbox, I have adopted it as my native tounge.

I'm not particularly cynical, I just like to take silly things people say and carry them to extreme and ironic conclusions, prooving the notion was senseless

mostly because i am very cynical. I am a firm follower of the World is Shit movement. And aside from that, i have an innate hatred for anyone who is not as intelligent as I am, and using sarcasm around them is fucking hilarious because most of the time they are too dimwitted to realize that I am truly being sarcastic.

Of course, some time after, I realized the negative effects of such sociopathic behaviour and became a serious positive person who doesn't even grasp the idea of sarcasm.

I hate it when people use sarcasm as their primary (and in some cases only) use of humour. It's so annoying and in 95 per cent of cases not the least bit funny.

My parents being pedantic and sarky for teh lulz.

No really, that's part of it. That and developing a dry sense of humour at a reasonably early age meant I was well suited to sarcasm.
