Well, i find it fair they judged drawings of minors in sexual context as child pornografy.

Im a dad and a manga reader.

While you have your rights as a parent to that, the fact remains that no one was hurt in this process, and the law was far overstepped.

As someone with a fairly large lolicon collection, I find this to be stupidity beyond reason. Am I a pedophile because I have these images? No. I find the idea of doing something like that to an actual human under the age of 16 disgusting, consent or not.

Why what makes children so untouchable? Why cant I blow them up with my fat man in fallout3 or cut there little heads off with my sword in fable...give me one good reason why kids should be protected from every thing adults go though...we all live in the same world. and the day that we start treating children like equals instead of pets will be a day where humanity moves forward.

Umm, it's impossile to treat Children as Adults, seeing as they're not mentally and physically developed like us. Plus, it's our job as parents/siblings/good fucking people to look after and out for them.

Seriously though, this is just a way for people to feel safe, we can't stop child abuse until it has already happened and that frightens people into making laws like this and punishing people who read manga or create it.

We can't curb human nature and for a species that has made it it's goal to dominate the natural world that is a very disturbing reality, one many want to hide from or atleast blame something for.

This is no different from the people who blame violent videogames and movies for shootings or prostitutes/pornography for causing rape.

We are a sad and primitive species.

My innocence I think collapsed reading all this. Since I was young I never thought about the long run of translators or even reading manga translated by such. If they're going to bust one, there's going to be more, then the readers, then the publishers, then all will be banned and burned.

Seriously, take a deep breath and take a step back and define your lines better justice system. There's right, there's wrong, but there is the unknown area that needs more then one look over and this would be the one. I'm against child exploits in all forms, but I'm sure that's not what the creators had in mind-nor the translators or the publishers! If it was too risque the material would have been denied right?

Her age? 125. It's the Japanese art style that makes her appear to be younger than she is. Also, naked images are not allowed to show pubic hair, so the age of the characters appears even lower.

THAT my good Sir is a child. No matter what if the trivia says she 1 bazillion years old, THAT is STILL a little child.
