I'd say the during the Industrial Revolution in England then migrate to America or something. Because those two places where huge places during the Industrial Revolution.
Thats a good idea that could probally work out

I would say either in the Victorian Times, England or it's in the future where Desmond actually uses his training in a full game. Although, on how the storyline is going so far, I would say somewhere that fits Mayans in it somehow.

EDIT: Oh! Japan's another one. That'd be pretty sweet...

IN all likelihood, there will be more than one more game. I think the next one should focus on finding some of the other temples minerva told you about through the Animus, and he should travel back to Victorian England where he exploits some steampunk-ish technology, maybe saves the queen's life and takes down Jack the Ripper, who was in this chronology a Templar.

The next after that should be set during WWII as Desmond tried to locate a major Piece of Eden which fell into the hands of Adolf Hitler. Think about it, trying to free-run to safety during the bombing of Dresden? Buildings crumbling underneath you? Kick ass.

Those two set up, they can do a conclusive game where Desmond is chasing/fighting a highly skilled Templar opponent (Desmond's evil twin? DUM DUM DUMMMM) through multiple eras, revisiting for a time all of the previous games (a la his "dream" in AC2) and connecting all of the stories together in some new way while bringing the "big picture" into stark relief.

Multiple countries in Europe. It would make things a lot less linear.

Also, they should probably stop after 3 if they keep going further forward in time. I wouldn't want to play it if they passed the industrial revolution.

with more variated locations it would be indeed refreshing.

Northern Ireland.

But, really, I'd say Victorian England. That's a game I'd like to play. Mainly so I have an excuse to say "spiffing" and "jolly good".
don't think they said spiffing and jolly good until the 30's and 40's XD

I like the idea of using 17th century England, you may have guns and stuff but blades are still very useful.

It holds up as an idea... You have the final stage as the Allied forces are closing in, and Hitler escapes from his bunker (where he died in the real world), with the Assassin du jour chasing him, determined to keep the Piece of Eden that caused WWII from falling back into Templar hands. A mini-boss fight against some crazy-ass SS agent followed by der fuhrer whupping on you with his new powers would be a very satisfying game-end.

In my dreams it would be 1960's Liverpool.

More practically, it'd probably a period where firarms are a big deal, especially if there's more focus on modern-day Desmond's exploits. Then again, Aspergo (or whatever they're called) just use pointy sticks in AC2, so there might be no guns at all.

You are John Lennon...

Cold War Russia! Didn't the US and USSR constantly have assassins working behind the scenes? That would be shveet.

I'm hoping for the modern era. The actual state of technology in AC's universe has been pretty mysterious so far. We don't relly know what the world looks like, and I'm excited to see it. After all, the templar guards you fight at the end carried stun batons, maybe firearms aren't that pevalent in this universe. I'm sure if firearms are introduced, it will be done in a way that makes sense.
