EDIT: Or Frank West/Chuck Greene. Because no matter how stupid you are, they'll find a way to defend you. Both are badass, and can use almost anything as a weapon. But one's a photographer who's covered wars, and the other is a motocross racer that did his own repairs, and made a slicecycle. It's a tough choice
Hmm, I'd say either Minsc or Edwin from Baldur's Gate II.
Edwin because he is snarky and amusing, as well as the most powerful wizard in the game.
Minsc because he and Boo are awesome and would actually want to help you. And he'd probably have fun doing it, since he always did say, "You point, I'll punch!"

I'll take Tali'Zorah or Grunt from Mass Effect 2, my Death Knight in WoW, or the greatest bodyguard ever.

Simple and easy choice. Soma Cruz from Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow. The reincarnation of Dracula, able to use the powers of andything he's killed, and a fairly cool guy besides. At least i'd have someone to talk to. I mean, Gordon Freeman would be great, but the mute thing would get old fast.

My first though was master chief, but someone more fun is probably needed, so I will go with Commander Shepard, cause he can DANCE.
