I just realize, upon visit of this thread and seeing my post, I placed all the cheats NBA Live 2005 played on you to defeat your team when you got ahead.

The other part to complete is, that to try fool you into trying again, it does cheats in your favor if you've found it hard to get past AI's defense, so when the end approaches, and until one minute and half or two after getting ahead for first time, the AI team starts to miss a lot of shots and you find that your favorite play with your pivot that didn't work mysteriously begins to work and that the period of wrist back when releasing the button means the shot will go in lasts for a lot of the jump, making it very easy to start chugging 3pointers.

So, what's the way to win matches?. Let the AI get ahead, by more than 10 points, then at some point near the end, some time in the last five minutes, start the three pointer and slam fest. But careful, you shall not get ahead until the last minute, or the AI starts the cheats so you lose.

It's so true that in superhuman, level at which the cheats work, I only won the matches I had trouble to keep up and lagged more than ten points behind.

So yeah. NBA Live will never return to my computer.
That bad eh?

Fighting games, because I love them, but I'm absolutely terrible at them.

Modern Warfare 2, because apparently I can knife someone, snipe them, use a predator missile, claymore, or just plain old shoot them in the chest...and no matter what, I'm being cheap.

LittleBigPlanet, Acing the Bunker. Imagine you're in hell except all the flames are lightning. And every time you hit a flame you need to stat over. I did beat it eventually, though I'm not sure it is what you'd call "worth it".

Also Demon's Souls can be really frustrating. Not nearly as frustrating as people make it out to be, but for the first 20 hours or so you'd better get used to only being able to use 10% of all the souls you collect.

Just recently I started playing Freelancer (best space sim ever) again after a long spell from it and was amazed at how overpowered some of the enemies were. After dying to the same mission SIX times I just got out of it as fast as I could. The very next day I when back for more.
I love that game, but I saved right as I started a mission and I always die. Tried like 20 times before giving up, but I'm sure I'll go back to it someday.
Yeah, the Bunker was a pain.

Final Fantasy XII, so much expectations finding so much suck.
I didn't think it sucked that bad, though there were some genuinely frustrating pain in the ass moments, and a game restart in there. Then again I enjoy Final Fantasy games.

One that comes to mind is Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness.

Not that it's difficult; like any other pokemon game you just train your adorable little killing machines until they're strong enough to decapitate whatever pokemon you're facing.
No, what got me frustrated were the recycled animations from the N64, the new animations that were absolute shit (all of them), the stupid dialog, the idiotic trainer names (who calls their son Egrog?), the plot and the crappy 'ending'.

What makes it all worse in my opinion is that they could have actually done something with the whole 'pokemon-becoming-emotionless-fighting-machines' idea, if they were a bit more serious about it.

This is going to sound lame but.. Final Fantasy X. And... Devil May Cry. Can't beat the last boss in FFX, because of way too underleveled. Or wrong tactics, idk.

And Devil May cry for its insane difficulty.

Dragon Quest 8 - Finding and defeating metal king slimes.

Zelda A Link to the Past - I just hate that game, Link might as well ditch the shield for all the good it does defending you.

COD MW2 - Completed the story yesterday, aside from the continuous spawning of enemies and their cheap melee attacks the whole story was just one big mess (imo).

[Prototype] - The hunters are cheap! Cheap! Cheap! Cheap! Especially the alphas! The lock on is a pain but the slo-mo is nice.

Fighting games and their inconsistent AI. I love fighting games, but I absolutely detest how I can have about 75% of my health and have my enemy on the ropes being only 2 or 3 hits away from victory. THEN they pull some rabbit out of their ass and become the holy brick wall and then proceed to deliver obscene combos and pretty much killing you at that last second. Yea...fuck you. Either you will win a round quite well and proceed to the next 2 rounds of the computer curb stomping you, or they will pull dues ex machina on you. I like fighting games, but good god do I hate the AI at times when they decide to switch to pro mode even though you are just playing normal. Do I suck? maybe, is the AI a douche bag? hell yes, do I give up? FUCK NO, I want my revenge dammit and retain my damn pride!!

Fighting games...guaranteed to both relieve stress and induce it XD

Zelda: Majora's Mask. The time limit made me hate it.
For this transgression, you shall pay a terrible price. Majora's Mask was awesome.

In any event, threads been done, buy hey, it's been a while.

Same things I always put in threads like these:

DMC 3. Last boss on Dante Must Die. There should be a law against bosses with regenerating health.

Ecco the Dolphin.Great game, there's never been another like it, but perhaps that's for the better. Dark Water and Welcome To The Machine make me so mad I could make waffles.

Any fighting game ever.

Devil May Cry is hard, I'll give you that. I'm all to familiar with that. But you should try Ninja Gaiden on for size. Ninja Gaiden makes DMC look like a joke.

Ugh, I wont go through another sadistic game. And I don't think Ninja Gaiden has the most annoying camera in videogame historie... Ish.

EDIT: And also honorable mentions: Kingdom Hearts and FFX. You can't skip the cutscenes. And when you die during a bossbattle it is back from the start.

GRID's AI driver's ability to go infinitely faster than you, no matter how fast and well you drive, is the only thing to cause me to ever smash a controller. Yet I kept going with that game and I'm like an abused spouse. It hurts, but I keep going back for more because I love it.

My Fallout 3 GotY is currently pissing me off with its insistence on preventing me playing it for more than a couple of hours at a time. Goddamn random freezes to hell.

Several last-gen games caused me to break a PS2...a fat PS2. I was a little ball of teenage nerd rage back then, I punched that poor machine to death over the three years we were together.
