Actually I have played FF 3

Final Fantasy 3 as in "Final Fantasy 3" or Final Fantasy 3 as in "Final Fantasy 6"? (God, SquareSoft dropped the ball on that one).

However, I am pleased that Final Fantasy is going multiplatform (again). Sure, it'll release a bit later, but I've never really liked the idea of exclusive games that much.

I don't think Square will compramise on thier standards at all. I am looking forward to it, but seeing as I don't have and wont buy a PS3 or a 360 I am kinda hoping that it comes out on PC.

Oh well, as long as it is good I am sure I will get to play it one day...

I just watched the first minute of that You Tube clip, I feel like I just had my brains sucked out through my ears. Honestly, I think it is great that it is going multiplatform. The more people that can play it then the more copies get sold and the more money Square makes to create another FF game.

I like the FF series. Each game is simular in some aspects yet every game has a different storyline, battle system, universe to get lost in. They may all be called Final Fantasy, but that does not make them sequels.

I haven't a problem with FF being multi-console, but it does make the delay longer for it reaching outside Japan. Square already does a horrible job with development times... 12 and 13 will have taken almost 4 years each to make, compared to 2 years or less with every other. Add in Square's tight grip on any actual information about the game save for the usual vague demo 9 months before release, and people have trouble really caring about the game at all until just before release.

Yes it's Square, yes it's Final Fantasy... but even as a fan of the series, their tactics lately have seriously pissed me off. I gave up even trying to get any info on their games anymore, and just concentrate on what I can find once it's released in Japan. At least then Square can't keep folks from translating and getting the meat of the game during the localization process.

I played the first, liked it. Played the second, didn't like it. Played the third, didn't like it... pretty much how it continued.

It sucks that it's multiplatform because it will be much shorter than if it was just a PS3 exclusive and technically inferior.
FF's used to hgave 100's of hours of gameplay, now it's multiplatform that'll be shortend right down to probably less than 20.

I think this is great, because if random encounters are in it, this game will take ages to complete, and sitting with the PS3 controller for ages just hurts.

My only real problem is that 360 may not be able to run it as well as the PS3 can. I own both consoles and usually I buy games just for my 360 if they come out for both. But I will definitely be purchasing this game on the PS3. Partly to keep with tradition (I've only played other FFs on Playstions), but mostly because I don't want to deal with crazy amounts of discs and I would like it to run at the best of its ability.

I'm a huge FF fan so I'm really happy. When I first heard about it I was sad because I thought it was only coming out for PS3s (Which I don't have). But when I heard it was also coming out for the 360 I got very very giddy. Now I am just waiting in anticipation for it.

Now, let it be clear, I don't care one way or another if MGS4 does go to 360 (I'll admit, I will be teething with rage the day it could happen), but these hypocrites of 360 owners who had once said that the PS3 sucks and has no good games all of a sudden were wanting the allegedly only good game on PS3 to come to them!

I couldn't watch past the first 2 seconds. The comments also told me everything I needed to know. I've seen people complaining that games like Tekken 6 also won't be PS3 exclusive.
