It's a toss up for me between Guts from Berserk or Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin/Samurai X. Guts has the badass factor hands down, but Kenshin is actually more of a "heroic" person in my mind.

I don't know, that pencil neck could be easily broken by any of the stronger characters. Yeah he's smart, but I believe that intelligence can only get you so far. (Even though I say this, Code Geass is one of the best anime series that I have ever seen)
