he has a point, the game was the first impression of good ol master chief and it was a bit lacking, if the game didn't win him over i don't see why you he would ever read the book either.ZerOmega said:He's suited to be a faceless killing machine?Insanum said:He is suited to what he does.ZerOmega said:I beg the difference.
Tell me what you think that makes MC a good game character?
The books read through his story as a child, his personality - All the things that you say the games 'lack'.
I understand your point, but you cant call bullshit without all the facts.
Even if the books DO patch up MC's personality, the only people who are ever going to read those stories are the ones who already think that Halo is the best game since Super Mario 3. The other people who didn't find it that great are not going to bother to check it out, because the assume that it's just something that's very similar to the game.
My point is that if you're going to release some extra stuff to some game (e.g.fan fiction, expansion or soundtrack), there's no need to try to win more audience than the original thing. If they weren't impressed with the real deal, why would they be impressed to other stuff about it?
If the main dish is shit, you don't wait for the dessert (or something like, what yahtzee once said).

I had all of then down except Wolf and randomly Star wolf did the 'you got me' message...immediately followed by slippy's "Hey I got one!!"Bigeyez said:Slippy from Starfox 64. That little bastard has ruined my hard course runs soooo many times. STOP RUNNING OFF AND DYING SLIPPY!!!
I now have a little bit more respect for the lil guy. Just a little.
oh man the irony.624 said:This is the stupist post of the day.ZerOmega said:Master Chief. No background what so ever and minimal personality. Hell, even that guy in Doom and Wolfenstein had a face.
On topic: Your team mates from Red Faction: Gurella
i hope you realize trying to explain any of these actions to fanboy are similar to talking to a brick wall. fanboys are the same breed of people that fanatics come from, and they cannot see other ways.shaltir said:he has a point, the game was the first impression of good ol master chief and it was a bit lacking, if the game didn't win him over i don't see why you he would ever read the book either.ZerOmega said:He's suited to be a faceless killing machine?Insanum said:He is suited to what he does.ZerOmega said:I beg the difference.
