Hmmm... I've aways prefered the british comedians, so my top 3 would be:

1. Dara O'Brian
2. Frank Bowol (not sure it that was spelt right, he's on mock the week)
3. Bill Bailey- he's just plain odd.
Frankie Boyle is amazing. I was really pissed off when I couldn't get tickets for his recent tour. BTW you should try get the Mock the Week: Too Hot for TV. All the jokes that were cut for broadcast.

Suprised to hear only two people mention Dave Chapelle.

Dave Chapelle is my favorite.
Dave Chappele is one of mine. But ever since he stopped doing stand-up I started watching Dane Cook. Dave is still my fave though

Hasn't this thread been done as many times as George Carlin made good jokes?
I searched the forums and nothing came up. But I don't know.

Also, I personally can't stand Ricky Gervais...

At the moment it would have to be russell brand.
That's the correct answer.

Huh? What's an 'opinion'?

Oh... I get it.

Russell Brand, Noel Fielding and Jonanthen Ross.

Ooh, ooh. Nor can I. Everyone usually looks at me wierd when I say I can't stand Ricky, but even though his arrogance thing is meant to be sarcastic and funny, I hate it.

I also love Jimmy Carr and Rob Brydon.

Jimmy Carr is hilarious for everyday wit, Stephen lynch for songs and limericks, Jeff Dunham for puppetry.

I agree with you completely about Gervais... he sees himself as being far funnier than he really is.
Of course, not everyone will agree on that one.
