Me. :) Pretty much anything goes...My favourite band is Type O Negative, which I've been listening to a lot since the lead singer passed away last week. What a shame...

And more serious post next:

I think the best metal bands are Stone, Megadeth and Testament. Then there are bands like Stam1na, Opeth, Pantera, Annihilator, Diablo, Exodus, Kiuas and so on... The ones I especially don't like are the ones whose names consist of words "all/shall/something similar" and the ones who tune instruments to Ö. The exception to this rule is Meshuggah which has actually something to listen to even if they tune low.

Also, it's funny how some people think it's important to let others know they listen to other genres too when the question is who likes metal, like if liking metal would prevent from liking other genres.

I'm sure that every Hardrock / Metal fan would love Crystal Logic, but most of them are to narrow minded to try listening to bands that didn't make the cover of the Nuclear Blast.
As proven in this topic.

I like many kinds of metal, but I must say that melodeath is one of the better subgenres (like, for example, In Flames). But then again, I like Opeth, KoRn, Iron Maiden, Dream Theater,Tool and some other, more obscure bands too.

(Like The Birthday massacre, but I don't know if they're considered metal.... I don't think so, but they're worth a mention anyways :)

But, I do enjoy some more.... how shall I put it... Unknown/odd music, like The Housemartins, The Beautiful South, Commando M Pigg and Herbie Hancock. (But I've just got Possibilities right now, so it's rather semi-Herbie Hancock.)

That would have made a good pun if it was true or even close to. Also, people telling which METAL they do like doesn't mean they couldn't listen a bunch of other stuff and therefore calling one narrow minded by metal taste is a bit silly.

Just saying.

Metal is the reason that I exist.
And I listen mostly to melodic death metal, like these:
I've been nice today and spoiler'd the bands :)
<youtube=mebSi4PDC34>
<youtube=fsaQnoSSW3M>
<youtube=6-P2O5zFXFQ>
<youtube=QpWBzzgmITE>

EDIT: Just counted over the massive amount of music I've got on my HDD:
44GB of metal
6GB of rock
1GB of jazz
And 2GB of Classical music

Guess I'm a metalhead. [SUB]No, not those in Jak and Daxter.[/SUB]

I like some metal but hate the pretentious ego driven fans who try to make a tiny sub genre such as Death Metal into a religion or something, Damn music snobs.
