I was named after Czar Nicholas II, the last Emperor of Russia before Lenin, Trotsky, and the other Bolshevik imps laid waste to the empire's government and infrastructure.

No-one that I know of.

Originally my parents were arguing over whether to call me Jake (my Dad wanted this name) or Jack (My mum wanted this). So obviously they decided to go with the totally similar name "Harry", my mum got the last laugh though, Jack's one of my middle names.

Also any other Harrys out there does everybody think you're called Henry as well?

My parents just picked out names they liked, and obviously didn't think them through fully, otherwise they wouldn't have called my brother Michael Finnegan :)

Nothing wrong with Ross. I think it's the best name out there.
I got called Ross because my mum thought "I looked like a 'Ross'"

I was named after the main character of my mom's favorite book.
And my second name comes from my godmother.
And my third from my grandmother.

Yeah, I was named after a lot of people.

I was named after Jesus's Grandpappy.
It was going to be Oisin, but that was far too irish for my dad's taste.
So instead my mum picked a pretty non-irish name from the Bible.

Because, of course, there is nothing wrong with a remnant of a monarchy that opressed the people.

I'll side with Mark Twain on this one:

"I am said to be a revolutionist in my sympathies, by birth, by breeding and by principle. I am always on the side of the revolutionists, because there never was a revolution unless there were some oppressive and intolerable conditions against which to revolt."

Enough said.

Sorry for this mini OT rant.

Ciaran is an Irish name, I am part Irish
Also there were a LOT of Irish saints called Ciaran
[small]Dunno why I said that =P[/small]
Wikipedia said:
Bishop Ciarán of Saighir is often referred to as the "first saint born in Ireland."[1] He was one of the Twelve Apostles of Ireland.[2] There were twenty-four later St. Ciarans in Ireland so Ciarán of Saighir is often referred to as Ciarán the Elder. He may also be the Saint Piran venerated in Cornwall, Wales and Brittany
And my middle name [small]( James )[/small] is after my uncle
