Personally, I think that the Grand Conclusion would be a very, very long and bloody battle to the death between the Orks, and the Tyranids. Why? When you kill an Ork, spores fly off, and several more Orks appear in it's place (After a bit, I suppose), along with a group of Gretchin and Snotlings. Wiping Orks off the face of any planet is, barring the Exterminatus, or the whole "We're eating your planet, sucker" thing that the Tyranids do. Assuming that it's a case of everyone versus everyone, the Orks outnumber... Everyone. Barring Tyranids, possibly. So, they (Orks) would eventually wipe out everyone else, and when the remaining Hive Fleets come out of the void? There's a worthy foe. The Tyranids get more guys when they kill someone (Take matter, back into the hive fleet, and turn it into More Tyranids) and the Orks get more when they die (As I previously said), so who stands a better chance?

In conclusion - Chuck Nor*Sound of sluggas/shootas*

The Eldar don't have a chance. With some of the craftworlds almost crippled, (*cough*Iyanden*cough*) and incredibly fragile forces, they're pretty much screwed from the word go. Even though I play Eldar, I'd vote for the Imperium. They have Space Marines, therefore win. Chaos may have Marines, but Imperials are more awesome.

They are immortal and do have gods in the real world.
So does everybody else. To reiterate:
Chaos has the Chaos gods, primarily Khorne, Slaanesh, Nurgle and Tzeentch
The Imperium has the Emperor, and if you are willing to stretch the definition of "god", the Space Marine Primarchs
The Tau have the Ethereals, who are more leaders than gods, but bear with me here
The Eldar have Kaela Mensha Khaine (sp?)
The Orks have Gork and Mork, but I'm not sure if they have any sort of physical manifestations, or if the Orks even care.

The only thing that could stop the Tyranids was Inquisitor Kryptman.

The Imperium declared Kryptman hereticus and banned the use of his techniques.

Tyranids Win.

Well the Tyranids don't have gods, that I'm aware of.

My vote goes to the Nids, as they are constantly evolving and adapting to overcome their foes.
There is only so long you can use Bolters against a foe that is evolving to be immune to them.

The Necrons aren't a threat, as they might wipe out a system, but the Nids would just move on anyway.

They have no real gods. The C'Tan are just some super strong robots. The old ones used such beeing for power harvest. Also Necrons aren't immortal. A power weapon, a plasma gun or something or killing them twice kills them entirely. They might be really hard to kill, but THEY ARE NOT immortal.

Necrons will win, because they can't die, if you drive a stake through it's heart it will just go to it's tomb world and get the stake out.

THEY CAN DIE. I hate it when people start saying that Necs are immortals, what are you, retarded?

Id have to say tau, if it comes down to tyranid vs tau then it would just come down to numbers

tau could hold the line prity damn well with there amazing fire power and if they can just stay out of close combat then they would win :)

You think to narrow minded. What if a Lictor comes out of the ground a bunch of carnifexes break in the line? Also The batteries of the Tau will lose their load in some time and they will die. And don't forget: TAU only have like 100 planets(compared to billions of Planets controlled by the Imperium). And if the Imperium would make a REAL Crusade against the Tau(à la Sabbat Crusades) the Tau would lose and get wiped out by the Deathwatch.

Or, attrition would take its toll. Assuming the Tau don't break ranks if a Carnifex or or Lictor pops out, there's still the fact that the Tyranids tend to engulf entire worlds at once. Eventually, with no place to fall back to, no way of getting reinforcements or supplies in and the wounded out, they'd all just get cut down one by one.

yeah but this is about tau and tyranids

more importantly, a tau planet being assaulted by nids

tau structures? Im sure a Lictor couldn't burrow through a secure tau foundation, and what's a lictor against a whole tau army

It wouldn't be the Space Marines at any rate, they are a technologically regressed bunch of snobs to put it mildly and don't have the resources to pull it off.

Tyranids would be my vote, since you need frankly luck to get their weaknesses exposed.

Chaos.

How well do Tyranids do against worlds which are changed and shaped by the gods themselves?

People seem to forget, the eye of terror is where the gods of chaos like to touch the real world, thus pretty much anything is fucked...necrons would be second

DUDE. Tau would be overrun in a matter of hours. There are maybe 100billion Tau in the universe and like 100000000000 billion tyranids. You can have the very best things in super sliced bread but if you're outnumbered 1000 to 1 you will lose.
