Who would want to invade USA?

The reason I ask this is because there are many countries (small ones) that do not have a military of any kind, usually small islands.

Then there are countries with small military not much use except for local conflicts, anti terrorism/pirates etc.

For example in WW2, Thailand simply surrended to the Japs and became a Vassal State.

I'm not saying they give up ownership, if they gave up their trillion dollar army, what would happen? The government would keep on going until take over I suppose.

I'm not so sure about that, the states on the border with mexico are already filled with people who are getting tired of gangs and drug cartels coming over and ruining their lives, the mexican military is a joke, and largly corrupt.And despite my joking earlier, Canada probably doesn't care enough. The middle of America is where the rest of Americas food comes from, in case you were unaware of that.

As I said earlier, that military hardware would make it into the hands of the various crazy civilians, not get sold to someone overseas. Who's gonna stop us? The military? Shit, I'm a little over fifteen minutes away from APG, I would think my property would look pretty good with some mobile artillery parked there.

To answer your final question, I'm guessing the reason some people don't like America is our perceived arrogance. To them, we often act like everyone else is beneath us just because we're a major world power. We throw our weight around in the world, and when we knock something over, we often refuse to take the blame.
Can any non-Americans confirm this?

Freedom Fighters was amazing. On topic I can agree. It doesn't really phase me too much that the rest of the world hates us because that's the case with all major world powers. When Britain was the ruler of the world, how many nations picked a bone with them? Germans, Russians, Americans (hell yea. it just comes with the territory. In practise, however, it has thankfully been evaporating for a long time now, with only a minority of the youngsters getting picked out for service every year. Once you get picked out, however, you can't refuse.

Edit: Also, noone would. Because regardless of what the status of the US army is, they are still members of NATO. And NATO has nukes.

Obviously, if the US gave up, the world would be thrown into anarchy and eventually destroy itself. Without a strong navy patrolling the worlds oceans pirates would turn to the seas and terrorize shipping. Every nation that ever held a grudge would invade. UN decisions would be laughed at while countries invade eachother. After North Korea takes over South Korea and Japan, that madman invades china and gets nuked into oblivion.

Meanwhile, over in the states, every state decides that the state government would take over leadership. This is fine until Texas starts invading the other states. Eventually groups of states band together to form new countries. I'm thinking a greater Californian republic on the west coast. Texas would claim the entire midwest. Maybe a New England and a Southern Confederacy (yeah, like we don't see that one coming). Then there will be a few oddball states that refuse to be governed like Utah and Arkansas.

The EU would try to step into US's shoes, but would fail miserably. After Korea gets nuked they would try to admonish China, but ultimately accomplish nothing. China's people then start dying from all the fallout from Korea, global temperatures start dropping a few degrees each year, and we go into a nuclear winter. Middle east blames China, declares Jihad and attacks. Massive counterattack, critical damage! World War 3.

Oh, but I have an edge, I know a coupla guys who crewed artillery.

According to them, it's not that hard to pick up. Honestly tho, artillery would be a hassle, if america is collapsing diesel fuel would be pretty hard to get. I'll stick with stealing a shitload of ammo and guns.Maybe a 50 cal or forty(two is not enough, those things are fun as hell to shoot).
