I've recently started getting far more into PC gaming due to finally getting a decent PC that can play *gasp* fairly recent games. Main argument I do come across is that "console players are idiots". My time on Xbox Live does not particularly mitigate that sentiment at all. However, twats continue to thrive in their twattery, and I've come across people just as bad, worse even, in PC communities. Also, during the recent Steam deals, I ended up trapped, buying anything that looked good, because they obviously knew what prices make people buy stuff in stupid amounts. Xbox Live, the deal seemed to be one game per day, with a laughably crap discount attached. People all but certainly bought in droves, just like they did with all the other awfully priced things I've found on there.
That's a reflection on the seller, not the buyer, certainly, but the seller normally reacts to how their buyer has reacted in the first place. I don't use anything else that resembles Steam in the way of games buying (as in downloading right after purchase), so I do not know if anything like this occurs on the PC (I hear GFWL gets a lot of flak but I don't know the reason), but hell, the PC has this alternative, whilst Xbox Live is, understandably, monopolised by its creator.
When it comes to the argument on specs, I'm simply not made of money, despite being Lord Mountbatten (lost in a trust fund somewhere). I generally like to play recent games on my 360, and leave the rest to my PC. I have an equally good gaming experience with both, and therefore like to ignore console wars, except on this occasion, in which I have given my (possibly brilliantly incorrect) observations.
