I always find this kind of question painfully naive.
I have stated that I prefer being called naive as opposed to stupid...so thanks for that.
No worries, I hate when people confuse naivety/ignorance with stupidity. It isn't wrong to not know something, it is just wrong to be proud of not knowing but I digress.

Well, I'm heterosexual because I am a big fan of the female form and I'm not in the slightest attracted to the male form. I think that's pretty much the same for everyone, however perverted it sounds.

How come it is why im Hetrosexual?

Because. The entirety of human evolution has revolved around reproducing. Since gays cant reproduce, it is natural to be Hetrosexual.

Im Normal. Therefore, im Hetrosexual.

And to the inevitable troll that will spam my post and/or bother reporting me to a mod (Which is what happens EVERY time i post in a thread like this) Its true.

There is no denying that. Every single race on the planet earth exists with one goal - reproduce. Every single thing a animal does is so that it can reproduce in some way. Humans are Animals and therefore...

GraveeKing:
And for the people getting off-topic, the guy is trying to say, why is it EVEN IF WE ARE PROGRAMMED (or not depending on your view) do we only focus on one gender and yet there are still plenty of bisexuals out there?
Coz some people are more randy than others.
Explain the gay animals then? Homosexuality is just as natural. If anything, it could be argued as population control inherent in a species that overproduces. Seriously, look up actual biological studies before making such proclamations.

I think i remember you; i belive you said the exact same thing when you responded to a post in a earlier thread.

Did you post that link to wikipedia? Coz if so, stop stalking me.

and your rather missing my point.

What the point i was making is, is that animals are on this earth to reproduce. Thats the entire point of life. Thats how it works. Thats how its worked for millions of years. While there are Homosexual animals - according to wikipedia anyway - the great majority of life on earth has been "Straight"....

What im TRYING to say that animal evolution has been made so that animals would have the greatest chance of either survival or power, so they would be able to reproduce. Every single animal on earth is DESIGNED to reproduce. When the animal decides that, despite everything, it DOESNT want to reporoduce, there is something WRONG. IT MAKES NO SENCE OTHERWISE!

If anything, it could be argued as population control inherent in a species that overproduces.
I completely agree. 100%. Ive discussed this sort of thing with friends (Who like deep thinking, as it would happen) And they agree with me.

It makes sence that animal evolution would make it so that in case of overpopulation, we would stop reproducing. This is shown in the rising homosexual groups in the human population.

However, it comes back down to the continued survival of the human race (Via reproduction)

If there are too many humans, we all die. No-one left to reproduce. make half of human race not reproduce means more space for reproduction. Reproduction is vital to continued human survival.

I had a interesting thought there, but i forgot what exacticaly it was. Hrm.

Ahwell, no doubt the responces to this post will remind me.

One last thing though- i am not against homosexuality But until there is conclusive evidence- and i mean real evedence that makes me stand up and say 'Okay, i was wrong' i refuse to back down. There simply is no evidence to WHY i should respect homosexuality when compared to every single evolutionary theory ever theorised. Not a single reason has been put forth to me for why i should accept Homosexuality as anything but a failure in Evolution, in any form.

If you are gay, go ahead. do what you will. i dont really care. Just stop running up to me when i voice my opinion on the matter and POUNDING ME INTO THE GROUND because i dont have a FUCKING THESIS ON THE THING.

EVERYONE HAS A OPINION. I DONT NEED TO BE A BIOLOGICAL PROFESSOR TO HAVE ONE.

Edit: Im turning the damned email responce system off to my account, so i wont respond to any responces.

This is my opinion.
Thats all there is.

IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM, GO CRY IN A CORNER.

Dudes aren't sexy. That's really all there is to it. Blokes are not able to get my rocks off.
If they were I'm sure I'd consider it, but as I find females attractive and males unattractive it's all girl all the time for me.

No but being one makes your opinion more valid in a discussion on biology.

I fundamentally disagree with your opinions but it doesn't matter because I don't think I'll influence it by arguing with you.

Sorry, but I had the mental image of you singing those words.

It's totally not my fault! Songs get stuck in my head too easily. >_>
And to think we almost had-count 'em- FIVE pages in this thread without that song coming up. You are, something else, kid. XD

It's in our DNA, it isn't a choice, it's how we're 'programmed'
Quite on the contrary, what you percieve as sexually attractive has little to do with your genes.

A few hundreds years ago, for example, fat women were percieved as attractive while skinny women weren't considered very attractive at all. Nowadays it's the other way around. Are you gonna tell me that human genes did a 180 over the course of a few hundred years to determine what made women sexy?

It's true that sexual attraction is programmed from the genetic side to seek the opposite sex, but this is one of those rare cases where cultural influence can totally overrule genetics.

I'm straight, and I find homosexuality (for me to participate in) to be disgusting. I don't see anything appealing about the male body.

I don't see anything wrong with other people being gay, or anything, it's just wrong for me.

because when I'm in real close proximity to a hot girl my body feels like its ready to explode, my mind begins to swim, my heart starts to race and overall theres a reaction, that doesn't happen with men... Although really thats pure lust and not real love which IMO kind of proves that the whole mate thing isn't really based on love.

1. No, I didn't post a link to wiki. You can actually trace who quoted you on your profile but don't let that stop your paranoia with facts.

2. No, you don't need facts to have an opinion but they enrich your opinion when you claim something is "natural..."

So learn how to use the site so you know who you are actually responding to and if they have responded to you before. Oh and don't make claims that sound like fact when all you're doing is blasting opinions based on soft science in a complicated biological discussion that you start by making a claim.

Seriously...

Quoth Lady Gaga: `I was born this way`

I agree that you can find a person of you not-prefered gender who would be a perfect significant other. My best friend in school would have been a perfect girlfriend if I wasnt straight, but I am.

How is it that people are capable of just sticking to one gender of people?
Edit II: Why do people keep thinking I said sexuality is a choice? If you get that impression I clearly need to have my post beta'd.
Sounds bout right, sexuality dictates who you are sexually attracted to. You get a boner over men, women or both. You can change who you sleep with but you can't change who you get a boner over.

Edit V: I KNOW FOR MOST PEOPLE SEXUALITY IS NOT A CHOICE.
*facepalm*

Please read. How is it that people are capable of just sticking to one gender of people? I understand that we need some people to reproduce but, idk. If you were in a romantic relationship with some one but met some one else of the same/opposite gender who made you feel 100,000,000 times better/more loved/more cared for, you wouldn't consider them an option based on what's in their pants? Gender is a very flexible thing (feminine characteristics found in males, vice versa). Or do you think this theory is the result of being alone for so long and once I engage in socionormative behaviors I'll be able to see in more black and white than gray?

TL:DR: How is it you're only heterosexual/homosexual? Am I completely over looking/ undermining the physical/sexual attraction aspect of relationships?

Edit: No, I've never been in a romantic relationship. [I know nothing about sex].

Edit II: Why do people keep thinking I said sexuality is a choice? If you get that impression I clearly need to have my post beta'd.

Edit III: Turn your Auto-Defense off! I'm not trying to convert everyone into a bisexual.

Edit IV: Is there a way to turn the anger off in here?

Edit V: I KNOW FOR MOST PEOPLE SEXUALITY IS NOT A CHOICE.
Please think about the implications of your posts beforehand so you won't need to make so many "covering your own ass" edits. Also, just to make it worse, what about bisexuals, asexuals or say furries?

Also, yes I get the feeling that if you enter the world of romance you'll gain an understanding of such things very quickly, "hit the ground running," as it were.

I'm going to echo a hundred thousand posts with: I just couldn't sleep with a man. (That wasn't Neil Patrick Harris)

And, although I'm attracted to women sexually, I still find vagina pretty gross.

I will ignore the petty anger and such that seems to spring up on these forums at the slightest provocation.

I am gay. Why am I gay? Biology. But that's now what you're asking. So the truth is, I love masculinity. It's what turns me on. Guys with great bodies and muscles and short hair, etc., are what I am attracted to. I am not attracted to feminine traits and I don't show interest in feminine gay guys.

But then comes the surprise: my boyfriend is definitely not the most masculine guy out there. But I love him for who he is, though he is outside the boundaries of what I would have considered my type before I met him. Does this mean I would date a girl? No. But it shows that not everything is black and white.

Also, all of my straight friends tell me that if they were gay, I'd be their first choice of boyfriend. ;) So if me and my boyfriend break up, I just need to invent some dark device to change them...(kidding).

Haha...thank you. That's one of the few straight-forward answers I've received.
