I have seen people lie countless times, but I have not grasped myself doing it to others or the ones I care about, not once... and thus as I see others do it countless times and insulting others and harming others... I lose any faith I have in them or others whatsoever.

But... This is an insult... Saying that everyone is a hypocrite and lie and insults is an insult. No one is going to hate you for it. What people are going to hate you for is your holier than thou personality.

I don't believe I'm better or holier than thou because I don't do such things, I simply hate the world because they of what they do and thus I have lost faith in Humanity.

The question was why I lost faith, and that is why.

It is not an insult to tell the truth, only those who had problems with the truth in relation to them in the first place will actually be insulted by it, others will accept it, and others may try to disprove it, gratus to those who try and do.

Humanity has gotten progressively better since it's inception.
Fewer countries have eugenics policies like they did in the 19th century.
Racism, while still an issue, isn't as institutionalized as it used to be.
Crime in the US hasn't been lower since 1950 or so.
Norman Borlaug happened.
More gay people are able to get married.
We're getting close to curing a whole bunch of diseases.
Really, most people that think humanity is in decline are usually very isolated people, with small circles of friends, and with very little hindsight or the ability to look beyond their own navels.
All they REALLY have to complain about are a handful of TV shows that they happen to not like, or this cockamamie idea that there are somehow more "stupid" people than there used to be, despite global literacy rates and IQ test scores having consistently risen since the industrial revolution.
I know the IQ test isn't exactly a great test of intellectual prowess, but it counts for something.

These culmination of these facts, in conjunction with a little thing I call PERSPECTIVE, makes Idiocracy increasingly less funny.

I haven't lost faith in humanity but lately I'm getting a little bored of sexism.

I don't know whether it's because I hang around gamers but the 'get me a sandwich'or 'lol female drivers' jokes are starting to get to me a little. I also think the 'main demographic is men and so developers can be as sexist as they like' is really aggravating. If the main demographic is white does that mean they would be consistently rascist? Hell No. Yet sexism makes you feel exactly the same as racism, degraded, pushed out, insulted.

Im annoyed that if I complain or speak out I'm marked as a feminazi and shamed as someone who wants men to be below her in society. I don't want special treatment I just want to be treated as part of the community same as anyone else. I wish people would think before they make an offhand joke.

Sometimes I wish I was born a guy so I would be accepted for my love of video games.
