I classify, tell the truth and focus on kindness... though I admit I'm wondering if I'm changing based on all the lies I've had to experience though, perhaps in a year I'll no longer be able to say that.

It's not "godly" to simply not do a few things most people do.

Misanthropy the fad of the year. Everyone please rail against humanity as if it has actually degenerated in the last 100 years instead of remaining more of the same only with the ability to transmit data at near-light speed thus allowing us to actually see what the general base of humanity is like. Of course you cynics out there never see the other side of your horrible humanity, the charity and goodwill that is produced on a daily basis. Perhaps because news sources don't publish this stuff because its not sensational enough any more. Sex and violence sells, and the media has caught on to that, thereby painting humanity in a darker picture for viewership ratings.
That part of humanity I dislike, but as a whole we've got a lot of good people out there doing wonderful things, and the potential for greatness comes from within, not without.

Personally, I have not lost faith in humanity, I like to think that there is always good in the world and random twats don't keep me from having that opinion.

I have a lot of hope for humanity.

We are a damn good species as far as we go, but we definitely aren't the smartest about reaching our potential. Our greatest moments always come after the worst events like WW2, or with some of the most horrible side effects like slavery.

With half the world killing each other and the other half eating itself in a profit fuelled orgy, I think we are just about due one uber-disaster, then comes another really good period.

Currently though... I only need to look out of the window. I don't say that in a 'look at the world' kind of way, but in a 'come into my house and look out of my window' way. I live in possibly the crappiest town in England, a drug dealer does his work in an alleyway opposite my flat, two people got arrested with guns a few weeks ago outside, and while I was in town earlier somebody spat at my feet. Whenever I go somewhere else I feel a bit better about the world.

I think most people tend to blow things out of proportion. Yes, there are some seriously messed up things in the world, but that doesn't mean you should lose faith in humanity over it. At least we have the ability to recognize that some things are just wrong.

And then, I thought about how Gaddafi was obsessed with Condoleezza Rice and even had a photo album of her in a compound. That is creepy! Oh God. I just lost faith in humanity!

My God. You both are such poor souls. I probably shouldn't mention that it's a ton of fun. Or how it's about as close to perfect as you can get in a gaming experience. Or that the story and characters are interesting and fun and it almost feels like every individual NPC is unique and I rarely ran into two people saying the same thing. Because that would be evil and cruel. It'd be rubbing your noses in your own failure. And that really would make you lose your faith in humanity.

Seriously, I highly recommend the game. But when you get it, I recommend investing in the social augmentation early. Best damn investment I made in the game.

I haven't lost faith in humanity for one reason: the Cuban Missile Crisis. The simple fact that humanity hasn't driven itself to extinction is a nice reminder that humanity isn't as stupid as it could be.
