I'd say I have good style, only game about twice a week recently, haven't been single for two and a half years and have bags of confidence.

[sub][sub][sub]And I've probably done more with girls than most of the guys on here...[/sub] [/sub][/sub]

I volunteer at the day centre where I help old people. Besides that, I learn shit at college about the two main social sciences and Chemistry.

I imagine geeks as the socially awkward squeaky voice type that things he's the dogs bollocks at MW2 and isn't afraid to let the entire world know about it.

I don't have any of that but pretty much everything else about me is geeky i suppose :p

Im a huge geek. Video games i have 56 xbox360 and PS3 games alone... probably slim to some but any average joe would find it excessive.

However, if you saw me you'd think i was some handsome jock who excels at sports and grabbing attention. I was a starting linebacker in highschool. Did States for track. I go to the gym all the time and im a big guy because of it 185 with 9% body fat. I surf, and play guitar... i dont know, i'm often guilty of thinking the people i game with are fat geeks but then i take a look at myself and i know better. i'm my own reality check :)

Oh and im narcissitic and vain and i have a problem saying no to any good looking woman aged 19-45 ;)

Ok there's a good chance that >90% (see geeks use percentages) of the posters here are 'gamer geeks' a niche group of geeks that enjoy videogames and probably adept or at least comfortable with technology, pop culture references and other geeky stuff.

But people are complicated and have diverse personalities and lives.

So what do you do in your non-geek time that makes you different? Do you Muay Thai, volunteer, own your own business, have an awesome social life, travel around the world?

Share with your fellow escapists on the diversity of geek life.
Oh, I thought you said Greek. What a disappointment. I'll be leaving now.

I don't think been branded a geek now is half as bad as it was 10 years ago. Just look at most of the blockbusters over the past few years

-Iron Man
-Star Trek
-Dark Knight
-Avatar....The list goes on

Even in comedy such as Role Models with the final epic LARP battle scene or shows like The Big Bang Theory, geeks becoming more and more mainstream even though most "normal" folks wouldn't dare admit it. (my wife still won't use sci-fi when she talks about Avatar even though she loves it). Anyway im a gaming, comic collecting, Warhammer playing geek and proud! Plus I have plenty of friends all with the same interests

I give blood. As you probably know, I'm allowed to do that four times a year being a Swedish citizen. So that's four times a year when I don't act geeky.

Capoeira, student representation (though not the nerdy kind. Hardly any geeks in it though, those are too busy studying and all that), ballroom dance class, give sex ed as a volunteer, and sell condoms at festivals (related to the sex ed thing, I get paid to go to festivals, whew)

And the rest is pretty nerdy, yeah...

Nothing I can think of, this saddens me... I guess it would be a non-geeky thing to smoke and read lots of books, like real books and not comics. But that makes me sound like a pertinacious asshole who hangs out at starbucks.

Good form. More people should donate blood. I am a registered donor but haven't donated in probably 18 months. Thanks for the reminder.

I have nothing against the outside world and actually woke up 8 am, not to play videogames, but to collect some berries from the nearby woods last autumn.

When I'm not playing games, I'm working on my creative writing or simply taking the dog out for a long walk, so I'm not a complete geek. Also, I don't always talk over gaming or computers, most of my conversations are spent asking a few random questions about the world and seeing what my friends say about it.
