Look, I'm sorry that people hate you because you can only get your jollies off by making people hate you, but if you make people hate you, then people will hate you. This is a simple matter. You can say that games aren't real, and that's right, but that's also the point - everyone else wants to play the game except you who has decided that you want to play the game differently. Anyone who wants to just switch off and play a game for a bit who doesn't want you around is taking it "too seriously".

You know what? People have jobs. Many of these are stressful. When they get back from these, they want to unwind and just play a game. It's a valid and efficient form of stress relief that helps people cope with the real world. It is serious.
...Jollies?...
Anyways, while I can understand your stressful argument, I'm talking about people that completely snap and have anger problems when team killed. Like I said, it's the same people that road rage.
I'm working off of experience here. Yes, some of it's just unimaginative team killing, but some of the funnier griefing, like when 2 people in Warcraft 3 4 vs 4 built an army of ents on each team, I wish I had joined in with something instead of raged against them. And sometimes it was because of the stats that I was afraid of ruining, which was even more stupid because that would be like diluting a lake of acid with a drop of water. But if you're playing a game so that a team killer sets you off then you might not be playing the right game.

griefers by definition make the game less enjoyable to other players, and who the fuck wants to play with some asshole whos simply being A PAIN IN THE ASS to you and/or other players.

Grief-er: Someone who causes grief? "Why would someone hate someone who causes them grief?" That's the question? Really?

Some people like to have fun by the rules of the game. Some people like to have fun by not following or breaking the rules of the game. What if I want to play capture the flag instead of "lol, I killed you teammate!"? I signed up for CTF, not whatever that guy wants to play, even though he signed up for CTF as well.

If you like it, fine, join 'em. It doesn't change the fact that others want to play the game as it was intended, and they shouldn't be forced to change for people who don't.

See, that's my entire point. You get in, you're stressed, you just want to sit back and unwind from someone being a dick to you all day... But wait! Someone's being a dick to you on here too! I... I can't see how people are suprised when people snap.

It can only help when you start laughing at them and tell them they're being too serious. I've seen people with stress problems driven to tears and self harm because they aren't allowed a release of something as simple as just being allowed to play a game in peace. Of course, I'm sure a griefer like you would LOVE to drive people to self harm from pure stress. It's probably the Magnum Opus of the griefers art. And THAT is why everyone hates you.

I can understand trolls. They're hate based. But griefing is funny sometimes. Some of it can be hate based, but for the most part it's just another way to play the game, albiet not the best way... When people team kill me I try to join them and mess up the game, I don't rage like I used to. Looking back, raging against griefers is stupid. It's a game. It's ment for fun. It's not ment to be taken seriously. So your stats get messed up slightly. Big deal. What I don't get is why do people take video games so seriously? (Why so serious?)
And no. Do not troll. You can go against my argument, but try not to be scathing.
Kill yourself.

Seriously.

So I shall not hate griefers when one stand and camp with a LMG and aimbot and then when I yank is guts out he screams in my ear that I'm destoying the game?

Might confuse griefers with cheaters but they both destroy the game and shall be abolished from the [Insert game here]/Internet/Earth immediately.

Try to stay away from saying anything like that. Some people might say this is a flame war and ban us for it (I've seen people get probationed for things that weren't much worse).
No, I'm not a douchebag that does it to piss people off. I do it to screw around and see how creative I can get with it (such as getting a picture and name of someone from Facebook, making them on Sims 3, and then killing them in several ways; and no, I haven't done that, because that's actually kind of creepy. I just think it sounds like a creative griefing thing to do). I try to make it a sport of how much I can screw up the game when certain barriers are put up, such as no team killing. Normally if it irritates someone I'll stop.
Also, justified or not, those people with stress problems need help.

Stop trying to justify yourself. You are a teamkilling asstard like all other greifers.

Ruining someone elses fun for your own entertainment needs more help then someone getting stressed out over a dickweed like you.

Because they spawn-camp? And hack the game?
That's not griefing. Well, some hacking is. I'm not talking about hackers; they suck. And spawn camping is a cheap way to get kills and boost stats; it's not really griefing. I'm talking about doing stupid stuff to make the game less serious, like switching to a gun that sucks to see how many kills you can get with it.

Well, as long as your team isn't counting on you to kill a billion guys with a super-nuke, then I guess that's fine.
But usually griefing has stronger connotations, making the game fun at the expense of others. What you mentioned is harmless, yeah, but what about more serious stuff?

The worse stuff, like team killing (which is itself stale and boring), should be used sparingly. And if they complain enough just stop.

I really hate grifers as they waste my time and that is what gets to me. I play a lot of WoW and the most annoying thing is when I'm leveling a new character in a low level zone just to spend half my time running back to my body because some person has nothing better to do than corpse camp me.

Because ruining someone's entertainment for your own personal enjoyment is irrational and selfish, bro.

You can't justify yourself, either. "Omfg it's FUN AND CREATIVE SOMETIMES GUYS THEREFOR MY RUINING OF YOUR GAME IS COMPLETELY OKAY." No, you're still a jerk. A jerk with a basic grasp of grammar, but the point still stands.

I taunt greifers and trolls to no end.

Especially trolls because some don't have any sense of sarcasm. Really easy.
How do you know the trolls aren't pretending not to get your sarcasm in order to troll in some way?
