There is absoloutely nothing wrong with that song - personally, I think it's freaking awesome. That's iPod worthy, that is.

I think its awesome and if people call me weird because of it than to hell with them. I like some (not all of it) polka music.

Maybe because they don't know whats being said? That tends to make people uncomfortable. I on the other hand tend not to listen to the actual words, but listen to the vocals as simply another instrument. Foreign languages help with that actually. I like it.

I didn't know the Japanese HAD jazz . . . is there anything besides the language that makes this uniquely Japanese?

Because Jazz isn't popular in America, and Japanese music isn't popular anywhere outside of Asia. Combine these and you arguably have one of the least appealing subsections of music for consumption by a general audience.

Much like most people here, I didn't even know Japan made jazz. I wonder what the blues sounds like over there.

I don't know why, but I love that kind of music. It makes me laugh/smile.
That's like listening to a cross between Never Gonna Give You Up and Lady Gaga... ick.

I don't think people hate it so much as not looking into the matter of listening to it.. It's like asking Germany why it hates American Blue-grass music...

I've never heard that song before, but I now love it.
I am nto sure, some people just hate certain things.
Also, I know some people who don't like Japaneese music just because they associate it with being a nerd.

I'm fairly sure that's Swedish, but I get what you mean. The more you know!
The OP didn't ask for Japanese music that nobody liked, he asked for music I liked but others didn't.
You've won this round, Cheveyo... but I'll be back. With nunchucks.

I guess the only reason I don't like it is because I'm not a fan on the Japanese language. It's not that I'm racist or anything, I like the people, (except for their inventions :p) but there is something about their language, especialy in music, that just drives me up a tree.

I think the only reason your friends don't like it is because its in Japanese. The Japanese are really into Jazz so it only makes sense that they produce some great stuff. You only have to listen to the Cowboy Bebop soundtracks to hear how good it is.
