I don't care if you're a vegetarian, a vegan, or a cannibal. As long as you don't annoy me about your choices, I'm fine with what you do.
This. A thousand times this

I eat a lot of meat, however, i'm trying to cut down because:

1. it's healthier.
2. less carbon footprint.

but I could never stop eating altogether because fruit and veg isn't as fun to cook with.

I think it has to do with vegetarians who have to make a point of letting everyone know that they're a vegetarian. It's cool when you ask them over our out to dinner for the first time, but some have the tendency to bring it up at the slightest opportunity. Then you get the militant vegans and vegetarians who go around like religious zealots, bashing you for eating meat, that meat is murder, and all that foolishness. I don't care if you're a vegetarian, you eat your pasta and give me my steak!

first off, to anyone who is a vegitarian, i would like to confess now, i don't like animals. hell, i can't even stand people that are idiotic and insistent.
secondly, the reason vegitarians and vegans annoy me, is if i have them over, and i don't make them someone seperate, i'm the villain.
but if they invite me over, do they adhere to my "plants are people too" philosophy? no, they tell me to shut up and eat the g'damn vegtables. (sp?)

Nothing wrong with vegetarians. Just the stereotype is that they rub it in your face about eating meat, and get uppity about their caring choice, and what not.

And I have experienced it happening, oh yes. I won't judge all vegetarians on it, but I've been impressioned, and these things don't go away.

You'll have to beat the person up before I seriously start thinking there's no chance of being imposed upon.

I don't care what people eat.. so long as it isn't me, or if they try to force their beliefs on me

simply because I have to change my cooking plans when I have them over... sooo it is easier to hate them because then I never have to invite them over... :D

Other than that... no reason. Cept most of them get on me about how bad my Red-Meat is for me... and then I have to go on for a whole half-hour how I am O blood type, and I have to eat more due to other deficiancies in my diet due to O bloodtype's weakness to veges and dairy and strength towards proteins... and bla bla bla....

I'm okay with vegitarians and vegans so long as I don't have to eat that crap or they try to turn me into one of them.

Because your different, and therfore are subject to the fear that humans harbour towards things that are not in harmony with all there petty beliefs, given that they have any. For some individuals the very idea that one holds beliefs or has certain personal values, is abnormal and should be singled out and mocked so all can find amusment in there happiness and fufillment.

Vegetarians?

Why? Its just an eating choice and has absolutely no effect on anyone, yet at the very mention of vegetarianism, people freak out and call them retards and liars.

I myself was in an argument recently with some fucktard on the internet bashing me about my vegetarian life style on YouTube when I mentioned it on a PETA video. I hate PETA and my exact quote was that I don't support them in any way, but I'm still vegetarian, yet I still get assholes who just go on and on about how much they hate it.

So I ask you, Escapist. What are your feelings toward this subject?
The amount of energy transferred from one level of the food chain to the next decreases. Example: with the amount of food a cow takes, the food it produces, and the land it uses, compared to both areas used for just the plants for food, means that a significantly larger amount of food is produced with just the plants.

Let me summarize that: If everyone was a vegetarian, we would have a huge amount more food.

When added to the fact that vegetarians and vegans are generally healthier, I don't see why more people don't become vegans. It would solve the animal rights issues, some of the world's hunger, energy issues (ethanol), some pollution issues, and possibly obesity.

I don't hate vegetarians. I hate those people who keep telling me 'meat is murder' whenever I eat steak. Don't force me to adopt your eating habit. Besides, murder is delicious.

I'm on the verge of becoming a vegetarian or even a vegan. I think it's a feat. My dad hates it for no reason though. I may go Indian though and eat poultry but not beef.

My mother-in-law and my sister-in-law are both vegetarians. Primarily because they like the diet, not for any moral choice. And my father-in-law is a diabetic, helps him too. My attitude about it like Ron White's "I didn't climb all the way to the top of the food chain to eat carrots." ^_^ Boy is it fun at Thanksgiving.
