Because most people on this website like underground stuff. MW2 is too mainstream for these people. I thoroughly enjoy MW2 multiplayer but whatever every has a right to their own opinion.

I don't hate the game, I hate the way it was marketed as the absolute, holy nectar of the gods, and if you didn't own it you were a spineless loser with absolutely no taste in games whatsoever. I rented it, it's an okay game good for one or two times around the campaign circle, but not worth buying if you don't like multiplayer. I also despise that they charge 15 dollars for 3 new maps and 2 recycled maps from MW1.

Not to mention that according to Steam, it's been 6 or 7 months and that game is STILL 60 dollars. It was a ripoff on launch day, it is still a ripoff today.

Black Ops was amazing in my mind. The single player was alright and if you play xbox live at all you are used to the community by now. I have definitally played better games. But I have definitally enjoyed the time I have spent on the game.
Black operations is stealth whereas special operations is shock and awe, hit and run and hostage rescue different things easily mixed up sorry pedantic and proud
Haha, thats fine. I realized my mistake afterwards. The black ops style missions are more fun, but the rest of the spec ops aren't bad either.

Hah. I find it funny how more than half the people who complain about it can usually be found playing it more than the average person...
How else would they be such experts with all of its flaws?

I love the game. I just hate everybody who plays it. The community unfortunately developed many player because of its hype, and with those players came extraordinary amount of dipshits who tweak and search for every corner of unbalance(ness) they can abuse.

I play it for about three to four hours whenever I go on, and during the time I end up having to leave about 10 lobbies so I can find the closest thing to balance that game can offer, and when I feel like I am doing good and not dying a cheap amount of times, I see a countdown go off at the top right corner of my screen. Thats right, aparently someone has managed to kill the same player 25 times in a row and has got a nuke. And then I end up wasting another half hour following those kids around until they scream there little 11 year old voices at me to quit being a fag ( a word incidently they recently learned and do not yet know what it means.)

Despite that, the singleplayer is not perfect but it is pretty solid, and the Spec Ops adds a whole new aspect I wish they had exploited a bit more.

It's cool to hate it, along with Halo, Gears of War, religion and JRPG's. If you want to be loved even more then say you love TF2, Half Life and Portal.

While I am half joking it does seem that the above seems scarily accurate for a rather large amount of people on this site.
Hey, I like MW2, Halo and a few JRPGs.

ho look, it's our good friend mister troll. remember kids, report and move on when his happens.

EDIT: oops, forgot to say anything. I don't like it because it's multiplayer is broken and the single player is to short, leaving you disappointed at the end.

The nuke is the single worst addition to the game. What a cheap gimmick.

The game is STILL too arcadey for me. Then again, I don't know why I continue to wait for them to develop a more realistic/simulation version of the game, because, well, they just don't make them.

Well, I love the game. I love camping and using just any tac of the tacs others dont like... Exept cheating! Iv even joined an all-campers/tubers/and'so'on-clan!

I dont see the nuke as a problem at all, since its extremely hard to get and IF you get it, you were prolly going to win anyways.
Besides that, I have played the game ALOT, and still only seen the nuke go off 4 times. FOUR!
25 kills in a row, not counting kills with choppers or any other kind of killstreak.

And really havent met many 12 year olds, but can only speak for the PC here :/
(I am, with my 20 years, one of the youngest people in my clan)

I don't hate the game just because it's mediocre and has one of the biggest proportions of douchebags in its community of any online game, I mainly hate it because it's possibly the biggest fucking videogame ever released, lauded as the fucking second coming and the answer to all our prayers, making trillions of dollars for its douchebag publisher (who then goes and shits all over its development team) DESPITE only being a mediocre game which fails at justifying its existence by ACTUALLY BEING AS GOOD AS OR BETTER THAN ITS OWN PREDECESSOR. See my post on "Failed Sequels" for more information.

Everyone is complaining about balance. Argh. There is one problem with balancing, and one thing only: The UMP45. Everything else is either fine, or easily countered. It's like rock, paper, scissors, stapler, xerox machine, printer. Everything takes out something else. I.E. runner class beats explosive class, stealth class beats sniper class, and so on and so forth.

The UMP is a submachine gun that can be a runner, sniper, and stealth class all at the same time - EASILY. At least with the silenced Vector you have to be good with it.

Akimbo shotguns? They suck if you don't have akimbo, and are alright if you do. So, either they suck, or they are okay. It's not that they are cheap, it is that you are absentminded enough to let someone with a shotgun get within 20 feet of you.

Commando? ALRIGHT NOW JUST STOP COMPLAINING I WILL NOT REPEAT MYSELF

Okay, I will. If someone is that close to you, you will die (unless you have a shotgun. Countered. See what I mean?). So, by knifing (doesn't show up on map, doesn't waste ammo, sounds like a good idea, right? Because it is) it is no different that if I used a shotgun, submachine gun, or sniper rifle (quickscoping). Why? Because in all those scenarios, YOU ARE DEAD. So, obviously if you didn't see that person getting so close to you, you deserve to die for letting your guard down. It doesn't matter how.

but one man army-danger close-grenade launching is annoying (not unbalanced, just annoying)

Anyway, I find MW2 better... no, not better... I find MW2 more fun than CoD4 or WaW. I've gotten to 5th prestige in MW2 without switching games, and with the earlier games, I could only do one prestige without getting extremely bored.

Good thing I don't get angry easily. That could be what makes this game fun, and not just tolerable.

I really liked the singleplayer, but it was way too short. Multiplayer can get really frustrating but I always come back to it.
