You forgot methane gas.
Yes, and I left ozone out, as well.

Both methane and ozone are important greenhouse gases, but CO2 gas and H20 vapor are the main ones.
Most common?
Well, yes, but they're also responsible for the most greenhouse effect: H2O vapor is responsible for 36?70% of the greenhouse effect on Earth, while CO2 is responsible for 9?26% of it. Methane causes 4-9% and ozone causes 3-7%.
Though from my guesses those percentages will change.

I think we've drifted a tad bit off topic here...

Went from Bush to global warming and greenhouse gasses.
to greenhouse gasses, to Mad Max.

...and he keeps ignoring my lyrics. I spent so much time transcribing them :(

I know I started this topic a bit late.
This is just a topic out of curiosity... I don't want to start a flame war or anything like that.
If your excuse is "he lied", please state the lie. If that lie has to do with the middle east and nuclear weapons THAT WAS NOT A LIE, he was just wrong.
Has he really done that bad of a job?
lol he lied about the Weapons of mass destruction drove our country into two wars that costs our country 10 billion a month, killed 4100 of our soilders thanks to his bold faced lies not mention that he has showed that he is slow acting and incompentent and does not deserve to be President or even be in politics or even live in the United states!
FOR THE LAST TIME... He did not lie... HE JUST DIDN'T KNOW

let me reply to that in the most elegant way possible to a Geroge bush supporter ahem

LOL you still like him! rofl, lol, lawl, nub, lolz. He lied and theres no way your going to get the other 80% of the United States to think otherwise

Alright now, no need to get all uppity and upset. I was just making a point, not a personal attack.

You understand what that point was I hope.
I understand what your point was but you seem to have completely missed mine. When talking about his speeches I'm not referring to his tone of voice or pattern of speech as you so incorrectly tried to "satirise" with your Stephen Hawking analogy. I was making reference to the content of his speeches and the remarks he makes not making sense, as if he just opens his mouth and lets the words fall out any which way they please. Such as:

"They misunderestimated me."

or "There's an old saying in Tennessee ? I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee ? that says, fool me once, shame on ? shame on you. Fool me ? you can't get fooled again." (like how he suddenly broke into The Who there)

and the classic "Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."

If the man can't construct a coherent sentence then I wouldn't want him in the White House.

Also the way he behaves as well. He just generally seems to do stupid things, like when he forgot which way to exit a press conference and tried to "escape" through some locked doors, or the massively ironic "Now watch this drive!" address to the press about terrorism. If he's really a member of Mensa, he's good at hiding it.

The man just comes across as a complete moron. The sheer volume of gaffs in speeches and his general behaviour that he's made lead me to believe he isn't fit to dress himself, never mind run a country. And that's before I start disagreeing with his policies as well.
Yeah, I feel the same way about that Stephen Hawking character. What a fucking retard that guy is, I mean, he has to have a computer talk for him. Not getting into details about how I may disagree with his views on quantum physics and all that, but just the fact that I'm going to judge the man on the way he communicates...

Do you see what I did there? I made you look like a dick through satire. Now disagreeing with things people do is fine, but judging someones mental capability simply by the way they talk is a bit shallow and conceited. (and no, I am not a Bush fanboy, I don't support a lot of the things he does, but I'd like to think I'm mature enough to be above making fun of the way someone talks in reference to how well they make decisions.)
Nope nothing there that appears as a personal attack to me...

At least he's not Al Gore.
Al Gore would do a better job then bush any day.
Unfortunately, we'll never get to find out. Gore's (wisely, I think) said he won't run for President again, cuz it'd fuck up his rep if he lost a second time.
Al Gore fuck up his rep? Didn't the whole documentary/I invented the internet already do that?

For the last time, CLINTON DID NOTHING WHILE IN OFFICE. The only reason the economy was like it was was because he sat on multiple economic bubbles. They just popped a year after GWB got into office. While Bush's policies aren't exactly up to Lincoln's, he did not cause the current crisis. That was the Democrats in Congress(who has a lower approval rating than Bush btw) FORCING BANKS TO GIVE LOANS THEY WOULDN'T NORMALLY GIVE. According to Democrats everyone should own a house, even if they can't pay for it. Its only going to get worse because Obama wants to increase spending on international aid.

I'm not reading the whole post because the first page is enough to show me where it's going. Here's my thoughts though.....
1.Afganistan was Reagan's mistake. We trained the Taliban,WE gave them weapons, and WE put them in power, completely overlooking their militant stance and primitive human rights practices. Why?Because they were fighting the Russians and anyone who would do that is obviously a decent and friendly sort that we can trust.

2.The war in Iraq is pointless because it diverted resources and manpower from finding the perpetrators of the 911 attacks. As soon as there was a shot at "liberating" Iraq (something his daddy's critics still haven't forgiven Sr for not doing)W took it and we never heard about Bin Laden again.Every day the war in Iraq goes on Justice is denied to the victims and their families.

3."America hasn't been attacked since we invaded Iraq."This is the simplest, most idiotic piece of propoganda to come down the pipeline in my lifetime. If you honestly believe that the 5000 dollar a second war on Iraq is the reason this country hasn't been attacked since 2001(Remember it wasn't until 2003 that we invaded.)Then you need to be placed under 24 hour supervised care because you are obviously to stupid to take care of yourself.Personally I would have you sterilized as well to keep you stupidity from infecting future generations.

4.We are staying in Iraq, creating more terrorists, not for oil,but because we haven't gotten the result we want.We figured it would be simple to go in overthrow the government and turn them into the 51st state.Unfortunately they have a different culture, different values, and different concept of governing themselves. So instead of respecting that and helping them rebuild the country They want,we are staying put until there's a Starbucks on every corner and a good Christian mentality governing the minds and hearts of the people. That's when we'll say we've won.

5.Bush(and lots of people especially in the south where I live)want to turn America into a Christian nation. They want to be like Iran or Afganistan pre-2001 and let our religion become nationalized and govern every decision our leaders make.As a Christian I have a problem with this,as an American I have a problem with this. Our country was founded on seperation of church and state. One of it's foundations is the freedom to worship however you want,IF you choose to worship.Making Christianity the State Religion,or as Bush and so many others state returning the country to basic Christian values, is a smack in the face to every other faith in this nation. You can be ethical without tieing it down to religion. You can be moral without invoking the name of God to justify it.As for who else has a problem with church and state becoming one let me quote an old,and highly respected man who used his life to challenge the status quo not embrace it.

As john stewart put it:
What is left to de-acomplish?

We went from being at peace, actually having a surplus, an economic boom, cheap gas, and being in relatively good shape to

Two wars, An economic collapse, a national debt of 10 trillion dollars, the FEMA debacle, the voter fraud that he was elected by, the tax cuts for rich people, the sheer stupidity of some of his actions, like sending people checks to stimulate the economy, No child left behind, repealing 400 or so EPA laws, vetoing health insurance for sick children, un employment is at 8%, the healthcare system is excluding millions of people, and not providing care for it's customers, Social security is running out of money, and just everything is going generally downhill.

People hate Bush because they honestly believe that we've wasted money going into the Middle East when in truth we've defended our shores from more incidents.

We gave them a center to attack over there. I don't care if Bush "lied"...more Americans are unaware of how damn great he did in terms of prediction.
lol....

..wut you were expecting me to validate this with a response? LOL

Man isn't the cause; the sun is.
May I clarifie my previous sentence. warming is the cause, carbon dioxide is the effect
Solar origin for global warming has been disproven; no satellite has observed the necessary increase in insolation the theory requires, and no planetary probe has shown evidence of heating and cooling cycles that match the periods of Earth's. Sorry, but your "blame the sun" theory is pretty much busted in respectable scientific circles.

How this reflects on your other positions, deponant sayeth not.

Well, regardless of whether or not he lied about our reasons for invading Iraq, you have to remember that because of the U.N. resolutions mandating that weapon inspectors be allowed into the country, there was a legal and valid enough reason to attack Iraq. I think they went for the hard sell for reasons that no one on this post will ever know. Don't forget, Clinton attacked Iraq in '98 because of violations of the same resolutions.

For those calling Bush an idiot and a moron, I think that's, well, idiotic and moronic. He does have a testable IQ in the 130's, and I doubt most on this forum breach 110. Plus, he had a higher GPA at Yale than Kerry. How many on this forum have attended Yale, much less have gotten within spitting distance of a high ranking elected position?

I'm not really a big G.W. fan, but I don't think his presidency has been as terrible as people would have you believe. Democracy loves a war until the first soldier dies. We have had no attacks, while a lot of other countries, critical of our government, have (I'm looking at you Spain).

And let's get off the Global Warming soap box. I am enjoying how environmental concerns have dropped off the radar now that these rich-white-vegan environmentalists are getting hit in the wallet. Suddenly, now that it's getting difficult to afford a low foam-low fat-half caff-caramel machiato latte with extra cinnamon, there is less talk about what the temp is going to be in Seattle in 2125. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go stock up on standard light bulbs before my government forces me to buy CFL's...

In continuing on from Skinny Slim, people find George W an easy target. He is easy to lampoon, gets trapped in faux pas (which these days the media laps up) and makes decisions that most Americans secretly love while openly hate (hello domestic oil prices in comparison to the rest of the Western world). And it seems they hate, because everyone else hates. However, the war in Iraq is going to have long standing detriment to the states and their economy (and thus the world).

His IQ was about 120, He lacks common sense regardless of IQ tests (Remember Albert Einstein couldn't cook, or tie his shoes if I remember correctly).

Also, who knows? Those test results could have been fixed?

And don't EVER insult the intelligence of the forum members here if you really have no idea.

But energy from Hoover Dam fuels at least the other 4 surrounding states, so say bye-bye to all the major western cities!
