Here's a flip side: I don't do drugs for no reason whatsoever! I've done them in the past. I don't do them now. They're available to me. The cost isn't the issue. In my career, I have daily access to some pretty strong stuff AND I know exactly what drugs do to a human body (go ahead; pick any drug and I will give you a credible peer reviewed article and a textbook to read on what it does to anatomy, physiology, psychology, sociology...).
I haven't done a drug in two years. Last time was about two years ago. I hadn't done anything for a year before that and I smoked twice on the same weekend and never looked back. I may in the future, but I may not. It just isn't the kind of fun I'm looking for right now.
Look, if you are in the camp "I don't need to get wasted to have a good time," or some other logical fallacy, you're probably just using that as shorthand for "It's not for me!" That, I can respect. I can have a good time and not get wasted. I can have a good time wasted. It depends on the situation.
Black and white thinking limits your viewpoint and makes it more likely you will be wrong (either side of an issue).
"It may surprise you to know but I've tried drugs. Oh yeah. Didn't rob anybody, didn't kill anybody, didn't rape anybody, didn't lose um ..... one fucking job, laughed my ass off ..... and went about my day" -Bill Hicks
BTW, Ritalin is a drug, ya hypocrites. Just because you think it helps you think clearer, which is often the clinical case, doesn't mean you are any better than someone who "needs" weed just to get through their day.
