Because bisexuality is a lot more common than people think. Same reason so many guys get bent out of shape about gays - because, somewhere deep down in their subconsciousness, squashed by layers and layers of societal conditioning, a lot of people are bisexual.

In women, it comes out when we're drunk (also because guys like it).

In men, it comes out as homophobia.

It doesnt. I never said women were not perverts. While it would make sense to assume I am saying that, I did not. So if you are going to call me out on a technical thing, I can do it back. And maybe there are some lesbian hating Yaoi fans out there, but they are not as powerful in the world to make it to such a hige degree as it is for gay men being affected by straight men negatively.

There are a multitude of factors. Sexism, Homophobia (dominant in men, directed towards men mostly), religion... specifically Christian (that whole sodomy bit).

If I was to get right down to the core of it, I'd say its more to do with the simple act of penetration. Lesbians, short of using implements and their digits (and other apendages) don't truly "penetrate" as for some reason penetration in sex requires a cock. It can be perceived as "purer" then male on male penetration.

It's all stupid mind you. TV and mags just emphasised these things and create a vicious cycle of people being influenced by media, while the media is also being influenced by people.

OT: I can't really articulate why I think it's that way. Nor can I explain my own feelings towards it. When I think of male homosexuality I get very uncomfortable, sometimes nauseous. As a Lesbian myself, I hold no ill will towards gay people, but recently I've been noticing that in most media, It is more acceptable for a woman to be gay that it is for a man. For example the possible relationship in Mass Effect (No I love those games. I'm not criticizing them). Because Homosexual Males are commonly associated with a more Flamboyant type of behavior. Which breaks the paradigms of more stoic behavior commonly expected.
