The result is My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, a well-animated, well-acted, well-written, funny, creative, friggin' adorable, and just awesome show.
I beg your pardon, "well-animated"?

From what I've seen of it, the quality of it's animation actually has LESS quality to it than previous iterations of My Little Pony television series'.

This recent one has this ugly "random shit at Cartoon Network"-quality to it (kind of like The Powerpuff Girls or Dexters Laboratory).

Im not going to argue the other points, but "Well-animated" it is NOT!
You sir do not know what the proper definition for animation is. I've seen the statement that the animation sucks plenty of times. The aesthetic of the show is more simple. The character designs aren't overly complex and don't differ greatly from one another beyond stuff like color, hairstyle, eyes. The animation though, which is to say the movement and transitions of the figures, is actually really good though if you watch. It's all very smooth and isn't just heads moving. The bodies look natural in that when they talk the head doesn't just open and close it's mouth. And it doesn't look like everything takes place in two dimensions. The heads move to the left and right while looking around and the bodies move in three dimensions.

Take a look at these two videos. Look closely, beyond the simpler aesthetic of the whole thing. If you have to, mute them while watching if it distracts you so much.

Notice all the little details? The heads shaking back and forth while speaking? The body moving and not just staying still while standing in one place? All the little movements made by each character? That is good animation.

It's like the "furry complex" but at least these people have the decency not to make crotchless fursuits and write incredibly awkward stories about it.

Although, the furry and MLP communities tend to have a large overlap.

I wonder why.
Bro.

You sound really sad.

So I'll ask you, for your own sake....

Let go of your hate, bro.
Ain't a question, and ain't even mad.

How about you?

Did I touch a nerve?

Ah I see, must have misunderstood the statement due to my tiredness. I didn't see "adult humor" as.. uh.. "dirty humor" I guess you'd call it. Just read it as "there aren't jokes in there aimed at adults who would get the reference"

Because it's decently funny and cute as hell.

Brony = bro + pony, it refers to males who like My Little pony.

Oh, and what's a 'brony'?
Brony is the term that makes it okay to enjoy MLP.
I am amazed at the amount of people that get the term brony wrong, it is /b/rony as in a person from 4chan's /b/ that likes ponies.
Just because the slew of the internet was like zomg bronies sounds like bros who like ponies doesn't suddenly change the meaning of the word; it just means people are dense to what they are calling themselves.
Wrong.

Words change over time. What started as /b/rony, became brony.

Its no different than the word gay changing from happy to homosexual to something stupid. It just happened faster.
Words change over time (we're talking years here), but not in a matter of weeks or a few months. It is less a case of a word evolved to have a new meaning, rather it is a case of people misinterpreting the words and being ignorant to its original meaning.

No, it does not sneak in adult content under the radar.
Uh... DR Whooves, That is all...
Seriously though, I'm fairly sure I remember hearing that the creator openly admitted she acknowledges her adult fanbase and appreciates us so... it's aimed at everyone.
I'm referring to how they don't sneak a sexual innuendo or adult movie references into the show and rely on that to keep older audiences amused. Adults like the same content that the kids like.

You don't have to be mad to hate, bro.

And no. If I cried everytime some random individual called me disgusting or dumb or a moody teenager because I'm a furry, I'd have taken down my foxy name and picture a long time ago.

I just want you to let go of your hate because honestly, it seems really sad to me when someone just randomly decides "I'm just gonna hate on this specific subsection of society for no specific reason". It doesn't matter to me if you decide "I hate all preps", "I hate all goths", "I hate all of ethnicity Y", "I hate all individuals with a theorhetical physics degree", etc.

I feel bad for you, is all. Let go of your hate, brother.

You're quite right that I hate you.

You have chosen to follow a society full of angsty teens, social outcasts and hopeless degenerates for no reason. It doesn't offer you anything other than a place to be accepted. Which kind of paints you as one of those categories by extension.

If this were a religion thing I could let you be with full compassion but this is just a self centred method of escaping your own reality.

Join the real world some day. It's actually a pretty damn good place.

That's sad, bro.

I'm actually pretty seperate from the furry community; I grew tired of the slew of Mary Sue-esque characters, pointless drams (drama), and excessive sillyness. That doesn't change the fact that I identify myself as a furry, however. I'm not ashamed of it, and if you hate me, it doesn't really bother me.

You, however, I feel bad for. I hope you grow up someday, to the point where you can just let others be as they wish without your silly hate. I know hating others you deem inferior makes you feel better about yourself, but maybe someday you'll be comfortable with yourself to give it up.

Join the real world someday. Not everyone fits your narrowminded stereotypes. Generalizations don't work.

Sure they do. You're right now delving into pointless drama and silliness that you are apparently above.

You are not an arctic fox. Or a honey badger. Or whatever the hell you like to pretend to be.

I don't require fantasy to make me feel better about life. Nor do I need to make fun of someone to feel good about myself.

As evidence: I was happy enough before you took it upon yourself to feel victimised by something I said to a broad community and when I then directed my loathing towards you in particular I was still happy. Now as I ignore your existence forever more I'll be happy once more.

I'm fine. Worry about yourself.

Okay, generalizations work?

Okay.

People like you, who find a group of people to hate, are pitiable. It's a pathetic display of low self esteem that deserves to be pitied. And apparantly you do need to make fun of someone to make fun of yourself (inb4furriesandponyfansaren'trealpeople), because that has been the bulk of your contribution to this thread.

I don't feel victimized at all. At first, I felt bad for what was obviously a hurt little boy lashing out at the VERY small section of society held in even lower regard than him. Now I think you're just an ass, while still retaining the above qualities.

Grow up, kid.
