Why so much hate on young teenagers?

Well, from this forum, and various other places, I learned what not to be. I honestly get along with older people than with others my age.

most of you are horribly wrong, no teenager i know is entitled or selfish, loud, obnoxious. why people hate teenagers is because they weren't happy then so they don't want them to be happy either so they ridicule them for everything.

this, at my brothers primary school the teachers basically tell them that teenagers are bad.
i dont know for sure but that seems to be the attitude of every single midget in the school.

As a teenager who has to talk to 14-16 year olds on a daily basis, this is why:

Always trying to be different or special and avoid doing things right for this sake
Rude
Stupid arguments
Disrespectful
Lazy
Ungrateful
A lot or either a whingy ***** or cocky little shits
Thinks the world revolves around each other
Small minded (although lately I've been finding that it may just be people, not teenagers)
Trying to look older which is really stupid
They make online gaming my personal hell
Bitchiness and back stabbing involved (although again I fear this may just be people, not just teenagers)
Spoilt
Always want to be seen as tough or "hard" (not in a sexual way)
In England a lot of them turn to drink, smoking or sex from as young as 13

Also Justin Bieber is a teenager, that's a good reason to hate them

I don't think hate is a word that should be associated with a age range of humans. Beside the fact that it doesn't even make any sense to hate someone because of an age, younger kids need to be educated and taught early age wisdom. The kids that refuse to learn are doomed to fail no matter what age they are, so hating them as a teen but not as an adult would be asinine.

Paris Hilton is a prime example, she's rich, privileged, yet she has been to jail more times than i have and is younger than me.

I was probably the most mature and boring young teenager around. Polite, quiet and refined. I couldn't stand everyone else, they were loud, obnoxious and stupid. I got along far better with adults, to be honest. Now that everyone my own age has matured a bit I can bear talking to them, but they can still frustrate me sometimes...

Ah well, young teenagers get all the shit because they are stupid, rash and hormone fueled. It's just natural.

Yeah, pretty much this. Generally a lot of the teenagers we notice are the obnoxious pricks of the Internet, with young children following close behind. Those who act with maturity blend in. I know a few quite young people online on other sites who are actually quite mature; it's quite nice to know they're there actually.

I'm not sure if the obnoxious ones are the minority or not since it's a little hard to quantify, but it is also worth noting that there are also plenty of 'adults' online who act very badly as well. I guess it depends on the individual more than the actual age group.

My questions fellow escapists is why so much hate on young teenagers? Most people assume that were all high pitched and spoiled now what caused you to reach this conclusion?

The kids I rode home with on the bus. Middle school teenagers are some of the most loud, obnoxious little nightmares I've ever had the misfortune to be trapped in the same small space with. Immature, whiny, loud, completely out of control. Every now and then you'll find the one child who actually HAD upbringing and knows how to conduct themselves like normal human beings but that seems to be a 1 in 1,000 chance.

Exactly. Little ungrateful turds. Wouldn't know quality lawn care if it was poured in their cereal.

OT: Young teens tend to be just fine. That said, there are enough of them who are extremely loud and obnoxious to create the stereotype and piss us old timers off. If you don't fit the stereotype, then just don't worry about it.

I'm agreeing with this right here.

Most of my peers aren't really that bad. But then again, I don't talk to anyone besides my friends

Also, every generation before us has looked down on the newer generations since the dawn of time, so that has something to do with it, too.
