Why the hell Facebook?

Finally, someone else who doesn't have a facebook!

I had one once, and found it an extremely annoying, time-demanding, pointless experience. I got rid of that thing and never looked back. Fuck facebook.

How will you ever find out how many camels you're worth or what flavour of jelly you are if you don't have a Facebook account.

It's good for people who like the social networking thing; I used it while I was at Uni for keeping in touch with my friends from back home. It's less expensive than phoning, more immediate than e-mail and most of the Uni societies had their own groups and distributed updates via Facebook (most people had an account) rather than having people sign up to Yahoo Groups or Livejournal or creating a whole new forum. It can also be used for stalking people. If Facebook provides the features people are after all in one place, why not use it?

It can be a handy tool but if you have no use for that tool, there's no reason to sign up.

I just mainly use it to play Mafia Wars, and post random things that no one really cares about, and I am fully aware of this, but secretly whenever someone posts on one of my posts with even a lewd comment like "Gayyyy"... I feel a sense of joy.

Yeah, me too. It's the same feeling that I get when I get a message on this site saying somebody quoted me. It's the feeling of being noticed, I guess.

I always found Facebook to be a major waste of time... It's like high school all over again, and I hated high school. Its all about how many friends you have and being invited into different groups. Personally I have MSN for talking with friends, and that suits me fine.

I'm also a firm believer of Facebook as a catalogue for pedophiles.

I don't have it, I kept in touch with the friends I wanted to keep...I don't give a rats ass what everyone else from school is doing, and the idea of making a webpage all about me repulses me.

I wanna know why the hell people use Twitter..I mean I get using it to see updates from famous people, but my friend constantly spams "I'm eating right now.", I don't even need to check it.

Social networking sites are pretty lame. If you want to talk to friends then use an instant messaging client, if you want to talk to busniness associates then email them and if you want to discuss certain subjects then use a forum based on said subject. The only real attraction to social networking sites is that you can customise something and make it your own.

You guys sound massively anti-social. I use it to keep up with my friends back home and message and talk to them. And one of my good friends and I will send links back and forth to one another of cool stuff on the intrawebs. And yeah setting your language to Pirate is pretty fun too.

Impossible, all of 4chan is crap. That's why it's so funny.

Well, there's also alot of unfunny crap; the group doesn't show that. Plus there's a significantly smaller chance of goatse coming up.
