the last good sonic game was sonic 3 for the Genesis. Maybe sonic and knuckles if i am feeling generous.

Cus he is more immortal than Dracula. Wich makes me wonder if the will try making him a vampire sometime soon. I mean they already made him a werewolf (wolfhog).
I dunno i think if we remove all giant gold rings from teh world we could take him out very easily. Like with a robotic canary or something.
Am i the only that think Black Knight could actually be good. Secret Rings was a huge step in the right direction for a 3D sonic, and ok unleashed kinda made everyone want to put him down behind the shed (thanks Yahtzee). But Black Knight borrows a lot from Secret Rings (ok the sword aspect is a little fruity).
What im trying to say is have faith people! Yes Sonic doesn't really deserve another chance after Unleashed, but come on have faith in Sega!

I think Sonic Team forgot that when you make a good franchise, you make it continually better not worse. The only way to make sure Sonic stays down is to shoot him,bury him, then drop a nuke on him just to make sure. He'd probably come back as nuclear zombie sonic in the next game though. -Sigh-
Parents probably buy there kids Sonic games because it stars a cute and cuddly hedghog...That's my guess.

Sonic needs a long bath, say, 2 or 3 years. Before even attempting another game. And when he does attempt another game, it needs to be a Seven Rings style game, or the 2D Sonic levels from the HORRIBLE Sonic unleashed. And the devs at Sonic Team need to learn how to make a decent mission structure, something like Sonic Adventure 1, with an overworld, or just the mission-by-mission thing.
Also, Sonic needs to stop hitting on human chicks, Eggman needs to be more badass, there should be no other characters to select, no crazy transformations, and you should be able to collect the emeralds as you go along the levels and become Super Sonic any time once you hit all seven.
YOU KNOW WHAT! Just remake Sonic 1-3 and then Knuckles, Keep em 2.5D, give em cool graphics and put them on a disk and I will buy that for $50 and it will be better than every sonic game since Sonic Adventure 2 combind!
Exactly! A lot of people think 3D Sonic = horrible (even SA2B), but I think there's quite a few people such as myself who think SA2B was a huge success. I'm not even angry. It's hard to overstate my satisfaction.RAWKSTAR said:

You know who I blame for the epidemic of truly horrible Sonic games? I blame the fans who buy terrible Sonic game after terrible Sonic game on the hope that it'll be the one that finally redeems the franchise.
Let's get facts straight, 2D Sonic was great. I'm glad we can agree. But the second Sonic tried transitioning into 3D, it was horrible. To me, the only way Sonic can be redeemed as a franchise is a downgrade back to 2D games released over Steam, XBLA, PSN or Wii's online service, whatever it's called.
