It's the only time in history the U.S was waging a war on somebody as big of a villain as themselves.
They won't let us forget what 'heroes' they are any time soon.
Well that's because the people who fought that war were Heroes!
Jesus insult the military more?
However politically speaking I do admit we are quite sinister....I want in on it Bwahahahaha >

POWER I DEMAND IT!!!
All joking aside, that was the last war where the American Military had full support from it's citizens.....Unlike 'Nam and this one e__e
This just proves that the more society is divided on the cause for fighting the more likely the military will probably fail.
Vietnam actually had the majority support of the citizens up until the Tet Offensive. Also WW2 only had the full support of the U.S. public from like 1941-1943, around the time of D-Day most Americans were not a fan of the war and they wanted the country to return to it's isolationist foreign policy. Much like after 9/11 most of America wanted something done, despite the fact that there was no clear cut enemy, and after a year or two the Afghanistan and Iraq wars became something that the public just wants to be done with because it is pointless and causing unnecessary damage.
The only reason it seems to the rest of the world that the U.S. is so pro war is, surprise, propaganda. For some reason or another our media feels the need to create this image of the average American as a redneck moron who has a gun rack in the rear window of their Ford pickup truck and want to shoot anyone who isn't white, protestant, and pro-war. For those of you in countries besides the U.S. it is our government that is stupid and to be quite honest I feel that the majority of Americans would rather just admit our mistakes, apologize, get the fuck out of there, and let everyone else just live in peace. So the next time you think about hating Americans you should direct that hate to our government, not the average American.
