It's the only time in history the U.S was waging a war on somebody as big of a villain as themselves.

They won't let us forget what 'heroes' they are any time soon.

Wait since when were we the villains in WW2??? All we wanted was to be neutral and to not get involved in that shit but when Japan decided to go and bomb us because we put an embargo on them (and rightfully so), we were kind of forced to get involved due to it now being a matter of national security.

Now I'm not saying we were perfect little angels during that time. We were far from it actually. But I think we all know who bore the name of the greater of 2 evils during this time. And in this case much, much greater.

I would certainly tire of fighting pre- or post-Hitler Germans, and even the vast majority of the foot soldiers were simply following orders, but its easy to point at a Nazi and say, in any context, that it is the enemy. Most other 'enemies' are hard to generalize that for.

I believe you mean million, also it was 9 million jews and poles. There were 6 million poles killed, roughly 50% of these were jews plus an additional 3million from other nations. So 6million poles, 6 million jews but with overlap.

A lot people forget Poland, by statistically it's hugely significant as it was half of Poland's 12million population. Imagine how devestated a country would be with 1 in 2 people dead.

Isn't that why Medal of Honor died way back when and Call of Duty went to Modern Warfare? I'd say that, as gamers at least, we're done.

But the fact is, it's not even a matter of killing Nazis. World War II is the last war in which America was boldly fighting for not only their own good, but the good of others as well. Sure, it took us selfish pricks until we got attacked to help out, but the point is that once we entered the war it was a justified and right move. Most modern conflicts don't have quite the moral assurance that one did (despite more questionable events like Hiroshima). Thus, it makes for the most heroic war stories.

Exactaly, it was the last war in which we allied with other pepole clearly in the right (exept russia maybe) against the bigest evil pricks in the world and totaly kicked their ass to wensday and back.


Besides everyone can't stand nazis, we all know they're evil therefore it's an easy way to slack off, you don't have to convince anyone nazis are bad, and you don't have to think up plot twists or other plot items.
